Could not fault this hotel, clean large rooms. 2 lovely outdoor pools and one indoors, spa and gym facilitues. Would definitely recommend the massage lady. Truly amazing massage. Breakfast ok, plenty of choice. Snacks and drinks a bit pricey but plenty of places nearby cheaper. Only let down is distance from town, a good hour walk if your fit as... More

Our stay at Madeira Regency Palace was above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our accommodation was superb, the facilities were spot on and the food in the main hotel and surrounding area were reasonably priced and of good quality too.

another visit to this hotel. everywhere still more than a little tired but is being turned round. we have towels now that are not threadbare and a new flat screen tv which is useless to us brits as there are no English programmes. personally I wish they would remove all televisions from rooms as it's nice to have a break... We stayed here for a week as a last minute booking and were very pleased with the hotel overall. Best bits: Reception team - wonderful. Helpful, smiley, polite, patient, smart and did their jobs very well. Wish other places were as good! Room size - two large rooms, with kitchenette, sofa, tables, balconies (with table & chairs), light and bright... More

This is a Hotel and apartment building and is classed a 5* My wife and I were very pleased with our room which was classed as a "Garden View" but could also have been called a sea view, as we could see both from our balcony. The room was large and clean and had all we needed. The breakfasts were... More

Stayed here for one week. Room was clean with fridge and cooking facilities. Daily maid service very good. Free courtesy bus to Funchal. Beachside bar/food very good and reasonably priced. Restaurant well appointed but buffet priced at 32.50 euros was poor value and average quality.

My wife and I stayed here for six days in late September. We generally had a great time. The hotel features two main outdoor pools and one indoor, all three were nice and clean and the free towels and parasols were a pleasant and welcome surprise. There is also a gym, a pond full of koi carp, tennis court, and... More

Advertised as five star NOT. Five star price 3 star standard. Hotel very tired. Unless you are very fit and like hanging around the hotel this is not for you. 2 cokes in Fungal 4 Euros. Food at hotel barely warm choice poor. The first 3 days lunch was by the pool sounds nice however, not enough umbrellas or tables... More

We stayed here for two weeks at the beginning of September in a one bedroom self-catering apartment (1017). The apartment was well furnished and comfortable. The mini kitchen was perfectly adequate for our needs, no oven, just a small two ring hob and a microwave, and a fridge. Beware of the mini bar in the fridge. We were advised by... More

Firstly I will say that this B and B holiday was a competition prize. However I did pay to upgrade our room to one with self catering facilities, in order that we had a fridge and was I glad I did!! The drinks at the pool bar were absolutely outrageous - 1 small beer and a vodka and lemonade 11... More
