This hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Funchal - there are also plenty of buses if you don't want to walk. We had a comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the gardens and the sea. However, the ventilation fan in the bathroom/WC was not working. We reported this every day to reception, and on one occasion... More

This is a small hotel set in gardens about ten minutes walk from the town centre. It has a salt water pool with views over the harbour, lovely gardens. The staff are all friendly and pleasant. We had a 'garden room' which was actually a totally separate building - a little bungalow with a huge bedroom. The decor was old... More

We are one of the few US families who travel to Madeira. We have family there, so we have been visiting off and on for years. We have stayed at QPFranca 3 separate times and I enjoy it a great deal. It is very affordable, has an unbeatable location, has wonderful staff and one of the best cocktail bars on... More

My husband and I have recently spent two weeks at this hotel and can honestly say that this is one of our best holidays we have ever had. The staff are so courteous and helpful at all times and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the manor house with a garden view which was lovely and very convenient... More

We stayed in one of the cottage rooms in the garden of the Quinta, it was clean, spacious and quiet. The hotel is ideally located with a choice of restaurants locally and only a 10 to 15 minute walk into the centre of Funchal. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice and were more than happy with our food on... More

The hotel has several different kind of rooms. We stayed at the 4th floor with a view over the beautiful garden and the Altlantic ocean. The best beds and beddings we have had during our roadtrip round Maderia. Very comfortable. Staff i very helpful and serviceminded. But the best with this hotel is the access to the ocean. A few... We ate her a few times as it was great meeting point after we had been diving from the Explora Madeira dive team. Quick service and good food at very good prices on a lovely terrace overlooking a small bay. Top tip - go for a dinner at sunset when the live music is on....a girl with a guitar and... More

Initially had a room in the old mansion, quaint but needs some updating. Upgraded to a room witha balcony and sea view . Reception were very obliging as we looked at two different rooms. The gardens are beautiful . Breakfast was lovely on the terrace, cannot comment on the evening menu as dined in the many restaurants in Funchal. Would... More

We booked as we had visited the hotel in October 2014 and, on the strength of what we were shown and saw decided it would make a change from staying in the town centre. We were given a garden room -in the old manor - and, whilst this was not totally unexpected the room was different to those in the... More

We stayed in the sea front part of the hotel and also used facilities of main hotel linked by a bridge. Our room overlooked the sea and woke up each morning to great scenery .the hotel is located next to the port although you can't see it from the hotel which provides a nice pleasant strole into Funchal or you...
