Ignore any negative comments! This hotel provides top quality service in an old fashioned manner. If you want to be pampered come here. True the hotel is a little faded around the edges but the service is impeccable. If you want a hotel full of kids and 'chavs' this is not for you!! more

I had fond memories of staying here in 1997 with my friends and finally had the opportunity to come back for my honeymoon. It hadn't changed!! I recognised a lot of the staff from my previous visit and, although some of them look well past retirement age, they are so helpful and courteous. Obviously take great pride in the place... more
