O Colmo is a large hotel and restuarant in the centre of Santana. The rooms are spacious and clean enough, with facilities like safes and hairdryers - but I found the decor and fittings a little dated, and my room had a broken lamp switch. The four stars definitely comes from the facilties - pool, lifts etc rather than the... more

If you're touring Madeira and want somewhere to stay in the north, this is a fairly good choice. It is a fairly modern hotel with good quality rooms with large balconies (though not a good view).
