Have just spent a week in The Raga. Good levels of service and cleanliness. Modern fixtures and fittings. Worth paying a bit extra for a balcony with sea view.
Breakfasts supplied something for most tastes - and food was plentiful. We did not use the pool, but the pool area was well maintained. we ate lunch at "Five" the hotel snack bar twice - fine for a sandwich and drink. we tend to eat out in evenings so can't say what restaurant is like for dinner. Hotel is well situated in the Lido area, but like most of Madeira you need a reasonable level of mobility!
Only small grouse was the expensive internet - 3 euros for a bare 15 mins. more
