Cristina and Filipe were excellent hosts: welcomed us warmly and fully informed us about the most important topics to see in Sintra. The room clean and elegant, the breakfast perfect. Really a very good stay in a very special place. We remained there for only two nights, but we are thinking to come newly in the future in order to... More

Had a wonderful time at Villa Branca Jacinta. Our hosts Filipe and Cristina welcomed us warmly and spent time helping us plan to make the most of our visit to Sintra. Tucked away in a quiet location the Villa is still a convenient walk to the train. Our well appointed room - with a peek-a-boo view of the Castle of... More

After two weeks of travel throughout Portugal, Villa Branca Jacinta was the perfect last stop. It was so nice to be welcomed into Filipe and Cristina's home. As soon as we arrived, we sat down with Filipe for more than 1/2 hour as he discussed all the various sights to see in the area, and helped us prioritize things for... More

What makes the place special is the owners Filipe and Cristina each of them in his own way. We arrived to Sintra after more than 10 days in Portugal. During that time we stayed at different hotels. When we came to This place we felt at home. We were welcomed by Filipe and Cristina and they made sure that we... More

Just stayed at Villa Branca for one night and we can highly recommend it to any visitors to Sintra. The rooms are spotlessly clean and everything is white so looks so pristine. It is a very old (19th Century home) that has been beautifully restored. The hospitality of Filipe and Cristina was wonderful. We arrived quite early (11am) and didn't... More

Sintra was our first stop in Portugal in May. And we could kick ourselves for not staying for longer than a night. Especially since we had such hospitable hosts in Filipe and Cristina. Filipe sat us down to give us the lay of the land when we first arrived. We loved the antics of their dogs. And we all agree... More

As other writers have noted Filipe and Cristina were wonderful hosts with a wealth of knowledge about Sintra and the surrounding area. It was a great help to have an introduction to the area and inside information about places to see and where to eat. I am particularly concerned with cleanliness and I have to say the rooms were spotless.... More

After reading about Sintra, we decided to stay here instead of doing a day trip from Lisbon and are so glad we did. Villa Branca Jacinta sounded exactly what we would like. Booked online for 2 nights in a Superior Room including breakfast. The welcoming emails and information we received from Filipe and Cristina before we arrived was wonderful. The... More

Filipe, the owner is a fount of knowledge and is only too willing to help you make the best of your stay. His advice was invaluable in ensuring we made the best of our 3 days. Free bottle of wine and allowed to make a quick lunch snack from breakfast leftover - bread, ham cheese. The villa is located 15... More
