The hotel is a fake! It looks good on the surface - on distance - but big parts of it is completely rundown, with cockroaches. The wifi doesn't work in many of the rooms. The hotel is simply terribly bad managed, with a manger that walks a round as a ghost without ever greeting the guests. To get to the... More

Looking at the pictures I thought it would have been a good choice, but the hotel is getting old and that's what the rooms feel like: nice but old. A credit card is expected from you even if you have paied in advance. The explanation given was that it is for the mini-bar use (surprise: when you get to the... More

The Hotel itsef its a little bit old, and it clearly needs a makeover. The staff was not that much polited, i guess that just kept the basic education, and not much more. We stayed in a superior Suite, actually very large, but with its furniture needing a lot of work. It was clean and the breakfast was average, and... More

This crumbling hotel tries.... to offer luxuary..... They are understaffed, and at the cost of hotel guests comfort, specifically cater to regular local groups that only make use of the large conference hall. The hotel room walls are thin, not only can you hear people and chairs scuffling about on the conference rooms wooden floor - in rooms numbered in... More

Overall we found it a good place at good value to stay for a night as a family of 4. Would have bit tricky to find the hotel without a map as it's in a fairly residential area but the location at the top of the hill above Setubal gives great views from the terrace ( and from some rooms... More

The location of the hotel is good. Not too fast from centre and rooms have great view of the city. The rooms require massive upgrade. It takes a while before you can get warm water in the shower. I will definitely not come back to this hotel.

Having, usually, undertaking my work in some of the worlds less visited places I looked forward to visiting Setubal. After being taken through the town, down past the seafront and then up in to the hills I wondered where I would end up. The Hotel do Sado (Strange name!) is at the top of a hill overlooking the town and... More
