The hotel is badly signposted and very difficult to find and we arrived late just in time for dinner. Very attentive service and staff took all luggage to our room whilst we dined. Later when we got to our room, it proved to be quite magnificent - almost a suite. Dinner fairly good but not up to same standard as... More

This Pousada is situated on the top of a very high hill and is built out of an old monastery. There is also an old castle on the hill. The Pousada is exquisite. The rooms are very spacious and unique, incorporating the old building architecture. We had dinner there which was excellent. The three course meal for 30 euros was... More

Stayed for one night and immediately impressed with the location and historic building which is spacious and filled with large scale paintings, tiled corridors and doors. Lovely room with fantastic views toward the plain and towns. Excellent food in a high ceiling hall.

The Pousada de Palmela is an Old Convent that has been converted to a hotel. The interior of the 3 story hotel is beautiful with massively wide hallways and beautiful stone staircases. The hotel overlooks the town of Palmela and the countryside from the hilltop location. You need a good navigation system to find this location. On a clear day... More

The pousada is located on the hilltop overlooking the valley and the quaint town. Our reception into the pousada took the better part of half an hour as the receptionist (Fernanda) kept us occupied with the history of the pousada and the sights to see in Palmela. We had a lovely and spacious room overlooking the river. There were problems... More

Rooms have a horrible smell of humidity. Beds are from past centuries Carpets are from the same ancient times so dirty they look Food is average + Pay a visit, enjoy the view and carry on to a proper hotel.

3 days of business in Palema. The Hotel is quite nice. The rooms while a little dated are comfortable and clean. The beds are kind of different instead of a king it is two full (?) pushed together. The staff is GREAT and friendly with a customer service attitude. Dinner in the hotel is quite reasonable., the food quite good.... More

We stayed here at the start of our holiday and found it a really peaceful, relaxing place. It was a short drive from Lisbon airport. We happened to arrive on the last day of the local wine harvest festival, so spent the evening exploring the village and enjoying the atmosphere - live music, crowds tasting the produce of the local... Stayed 1 night during holidays, it's the only place to stay in setubal/palmela area because of the historic building, outstanding surroundings and views, quiet relaxed charm of the experience. The breakfast is just great with fresh fruit and bakery. Will stay again
