Lovely medieval setting for the hotel public space. Lots of character. Easy walk into Obidos town. Car park beneath the hotel. Good selection for breakfast.Bedrooms are comfortable. Plenty of cafes and restaurants in Obidos. Lots of tourist coaches during the day, but fairly quiet pm and evening.

Stayed with friends for one night. Rooms are not very comfortable. No minibar in the room. In general hotel feels dusty and I do not mean it in a nice way but more towards - worn out/ dated. Receptions staff was not very welcoming. I had great time in Obidos, but next time I will stay in a different hotel.

A real effort was made to make this hotel look like a medieval place, in almost each and every detail. And it works ! It does not look like fake medevial, not like some Disney place... The decoration is just like being inside a history book. It has a very nice medieval touch. The service was 5*, the staff is always great. We stayed at Hotel Real D´Obidos on January 2013. The hotel is outside the walls of Óbidos, in front of one of the doors of the medieval city. It’s a good option if you have a car, but you have to park on the street (no parking). The decor is medieval and even the staff dresses with XIV century outfit.... More

spent 2 nights here recently. charming and very attentive staff in an impressive characterful old building in this lovely small fortified medieval town. very convenient for good local restaurants on foot (5 or 10 minutes walk) and excellent buffet breakfast. very good value. am lplannng another visit next year.
