The Hotel Real d' Obidos is located at the entrance to the medieval town and fortress. The hotel has 17 rooms. The decoration is kept in medieval style, the employees wear corresponding dresses; the rooms are equipped with heavy wood furniture; armours are exposed in the hallway, sabres and swords hang on the walls. Nonetheless, modern comfort is offered in... More

This hotel is practically hanging from the wall of Obidos. The hills into the walled portion are steep and cobbly but it was a lovely place to be. The decoration in the hotel is medieval with swords and other war-like equipment hanging from the walls. The hosts are dressed in costume as well. The breakfast buffet was lovely - lots... More

We have stayed here before, and the quality is first class. Each hotel room is different, they even have a book on sale with illustrations of each room! Nice outdoor pool, in season, and nice outdoor terrace area. They even trust you to help yourself to drinks in the lounge area, and advise them what you have had! Breakfast buffet... More

This is a gem of a hotel! I had thought of staying at the pousada but the prices got me looking for another option, and this hotel at about a third of the price was delightful. Beautiful decor, comfortable room and bed, spotlessly clean and a generous buffet breakfastt in the morning. And friendly staff. Would not hesitate to recommend... More

This Hotel is located at the entrance to the old city Obidos, very near to one of the city gates. The city speaks for itself with respect to its beauty and antiquity surrounding and the Hotel is decorated in a way that gives its customer a sense and flavor of the same beauty and antiquity. The Hotel is decorated in... More

Pleasant small hotel right beside the walls of the old town. Staff were attentive and friendly. The lack of a restaurant was a surprise but not a problem as there are dozens within walking distance. The room we had was smallish and the double bed adequate but firm. The bathroom was dated with an over the bath shower and shower curtain.... More

Obidos is a must-see fortified city and this hotel is an excellent choice. Large room at the end of a narrow corridor. Very quiet. Excellent breakfast and great service and good advice on restaurants. These folks live from tourism but maintain a very friendly attitude.

The room was fairly basic but VERY quiet and excellent air conditioning. Close to the castle and restaurants with excellent underground parking as it is just outside the walled city. Due to recent storms, the wifi wasn't working but the situation was definitely extraordinary. One night was plenty to visit Obidos but the castle is surely worth seeing.

The rooms are big enough and clean, but they had a MUSTY/mold smell problem. All over the hotel were 100000000 deodorizers to mask the smell- which it didn't. Also the $5 charge for a towel for the pool was a little outrageous. Floors creaky and carpets in hallways were dangerous as they were not secured to the wooden floors. Rather... More

A beautiful hotel just steps away from the castle wall. This hotel has decor of a medieval age, the room keys resemble the keys from yesteryears and the staff is dressed up from that era as well. Friendly folks who will take pleasure in explaining you the nearby restaurants and bars! Everything is walking distance from this place. Love Love... More
