Lovely, clean and cosy B&B. This was our first hotel during our trip and long time seemed to be the winner. In the end it was the second best hotel we visited during our trip. Only complaints, if you can call it that, would we the bathroom is small and the lay out of the place is such you might... More

This is a wonderful small hotel/B&B in Obidos, Portugal. Obidos is a charming walled medieval city, complete with castle. Well worth the trip. The most notable feature of our stay at this hotel was Alice, the manager, who communicated our booking confirmation as well as needed information about our stay. Our story: we came during a medieval festival being held... More

A lovely, homey BandB in a quaint, touristy town. We had to leave early the morning of our departure and the proprietor insisted on giving us a very copious breakfast so that we would have something to eat before we left. There was so much food that I was embarrassed when we couldn't eat it all. There was no restaurant... More

We had walked around in Obidos and were just ab out to return to our car and head to Lisbon, where we had reservations for the night when i saw the beautiful courtyard and entrance. of Casa de Sao Tiago do Castelo. I told my husband that that was a place I would like to stay if we ever went... More

A charming town, make it your destination on your way or from Lisbon . Very narrow streets, park your car after arriving and walk around for great shopping and eating. Wonderful pousada , great service, quaint and fun place to stay. I loved it here!

Yes, it was a bit pricey. However, the service was great, the building beautiful, rooms lovely, the shower was full size and the bed was comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. And there was a festival going on. That said, if you are there when there is not a festival going on, unless you are a romantic, the town might seem a... More

Upon doing research and driving in to Obidos, truth be told, we really had no idea what we were getting into. You can read all you want, but once you arrive, all bets are off. We found it a little difficult getting to the hotel, we had to ask another one outside the walls (twice) where exactly to go. Finally,... More

This is a great choice if you want to stay inside the walls because it is just below the castle where it's easy to park without trying to negotiate the narrow, cobblestone streets. You can walk with luggage a few hundred feet to the hotel. Casa de Sao Thiago is filled with old, traditional furniture and decoration. The rooms are... More

We stayed for one night at the Casa de Sao Tiago do Castelo and were very glad to leave next day. Although it looks very charming, it is not a particularly comfortable place to stay - the decor is fussy and our room was very cluttered, the bathroom was tiny, the bedroom doors creaked, and we had to leave our... We stayed at Casa de Sao Tiago do Castelo in March and like other reviewers found our room to be freezing. The radiator was working and we had an electric radiator, but it was still uncomfortably cold. My husband and I got under the covers, wore multiple layers and even wore our winter hats. I went to the front desk... More
