We had originally intended to stay at Casa d'Obidos last November but our trip had to be postponed. Our host, who had responded quickly to emails, graciously released us from that reservation. Casa d'Obidos was the only accomodation which did not require a credit card guarantee (and requests cash payment at departure). When we finally went in June we were... more

The Casa d'Obidos is easy to find, just a kilometer outside the historic village of Obidos. It is a renovated farmhouse with a sparkling pool and large, cool, pretty rooms. The breakfast served was fabulous. The only drawbacks were hard beds, and the fact that my daughter woke up with bites all over the cheek she had against the pillow.... more

We were looking for a base for a few days before heading to Lisbon for Easter and came across the "Manorhouses of Portugal". Casa d'Obidos was simply delightful; a gorgeous manor house down on the river flats outside Obidos with a breakfast to die for. We couldn't believe the variety of food (including homemade brioche) for the economical price. After... more

We were driving with my husband from Lisbon to Porto and did not book in advance the hotels. Obidos was a little beautiful village and we decided to stay and find a hotel. And we found this wonderful , little old fashioned :),casa. The rooms were beautiful, quiet, charming, antique style. Only problem was a bed size. The breakfast was served in... more

- Location: easy to find, even though you have to get there by car. It's very near to Obidos and has a great view of the village with medieval wall and castle in sight. - Room: fantastic decor with a little bit of Italian taste (the owner told me she would like to be Italian if she wasn't Portuguese...). GORGEOUS... more

Casa d'Obidos has to be unique! The facilities are not 5 Star or even 4 star at a push. The shower fitting permitted both shower and bath to be run at the same time,(Unintentionally), when another guest turned on a tap or flushed the toilet our water supply / temperature suffered, the towels were hard and when we stayed we... more

Casa D'Obidos is a beautiful homely manor house sitting in its own grounds outside the walls of Obidos. All rooms are individually furished in a traditional style with rustic wooden floors throughout. All areas were immaculate and are looked after by the housekeeper who takes care to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Some port wine and local cakes awaited our... more

The Casa d'Obidos is a wonderful inn located among farmland at the base of the walled village of Obidos. This 19th century manor house, completely renovated in 2000, offers six comfortable rooms with private baths. From the well-kept gardens, guests can look up at the village (a much better view that from atop the village ramparts) or relax by a small... more
