We stayed at Lisbon Lounge Hostel for 4 nights, arriving late and leaving in the early hours. All staff, day and night, were extremely helpful and always friendly. Pedros dinners are soooo good and amazing value for money. The decor is awesome and the hostel is very clean in all areas. We went on Henri's walking tour and had a... More

I have to admit I used to be a bit of a snob about hostels and didn't like the thought of staying in them. Then last summer my husband convinced me to give the Lisbon Lounge a try. I reluctantly agreed as it was only for three nights. I was converted! This place is a lot better than some of... More

I stayed here with 2 girlfriends while we were traveling around Europe. Although it was initially a little hard to locate, the location was very central as well as pretty private (which was nice when we came home late). The decor in each room was awesome, very modern and welcoming and each room seemed to have a little theme. We... More

Just one of the best hostels I've been in my life (maybe the best), It's not only clean and confortable. It's also beautiful, modern, different. His location is also perfect: just in the centre of Lisbon, very close to the principals touristics points and the Bairro Alto, where you can find nice bars, pubs, restaurants, etc. It's also pretty close... The hostel is easy to find from Rossio Station, and once inside, it's clear that the staff will treat you well. It's clean, well-decorated, and there are lots of activities organised by very friendly, approachable staff. Don't miss dinner here! Most of Lisbon's food disappointed us, so we were very grateful for dinners here - delicious, generously portioned, and a... More

I could not have asked for more. The hostel is very well located, very spacious, clean and super friendly. They also offer complimentary breakfast, wifi and luggage storage, music, movies, port wine, etc. The toilets are the best and cleanest I have experienced in a hostel. The shower is great too. Don't miss out Pedro's dinner.

What a great hostel. Located in the heart of Baixa (the downtown), it is minutes from many of the cities central sights and close to all the useful tram and metro lines. The styling of the hostel is very modern, with great visual touches throughout. The bathrooms are also as nice as you will find anywhere. In the mornings they... More

Had the fortune of staying in this hostel when staying in Lisbon during the summer of 2011. The rooms are an absolute bargain, and having stayed in some fairly 'varied' places on our travels this place really has a touch of class. Everything was spot on, from the friendly staff onwards. They let us leave bags there before we were... More

The hostel is located in the city center one block from a shopping street. In the street next to the hostel the authentic trams just pass the building. The interior of the hostel is very good. The kitchen offers all kitchen facilities and the livingroom has a CD/DVD collection and even a beamer to watch movies at. The toilet on... More

With supreme comfort, cleanliness, style and security, the multi-award-winning Lisbon Lounge Hostel is the perfect place to call home during your visit to our fantastic city. The LLH was the first hostel in Lisbon, opened in 2005 as a project by four Portuguese. From the beginning the concept was simple: to give backpackers a first-class Lisbon experience at budget prices. Through the years we have continued to improve our service, and we were recently voted the best Small Hostel in the World 2010 and 2011 by Hostelworld. Our services include free walking tours, free nightlife tours, bicycle rental, mini bar and free coffee and tea all day. For a low cost you can join other guests for our three-course hostel dinner, cooked by our talented Portuguese chef. We also offer cheap van tours (during summertime) to the romantic historical town of Sintra and the local beaches. Were located in the heart of Lisbon's historic Baixa district, the main tourist centre of the city. The hostel is just around the corner from the iconic Rua Augusta, a grand and beautiful mosaic-tiled pedestrian street capped by a colossal arch. A short stroll will also take you to the charming suburb of Alfama, the oldest part of Lisbon and the home of Fado, the music of Portugal. At night you can walk to the famous Bairro Alto, a labyrinth of bars and street parties. All forms of public transport, including the airport shuttle and the Cascais beach train line, are within very short walking distance of our hostel. With so much on offer, you will have everything you need to have a comfortable, memorable and fun stay in Lisbon. We look forward to welcoming you to the city we love. ... more   less
