very noisy hotel, walls like made of paper. all night people were walking back and forth laughing and stomping their feet. only slept 2 hours that night. You will not feel rested. No shower gel of shampoo in the bathroom. Towels are very old. No phone in the room and a shabby TV. Lights in the room are very dim,... More

After reading the reviews on this website, I was a little woried about staying here. My boyfriend and I visited Lisbon to see a band and explore the city 'downtown'. I travel quite a lot with my job and would never bother to write a review but I felt quite shocked from the negative comments on Pouso dos Anjos. This... More

Do not forget that this is a guesthouse and not an hotel. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is OK, rooms are clean.

Sold us 'free public parking', but there was no parking unless you sat in your car, double parked, and waited more than half an hour. Flat screen Tv in room not visible. Car burgled twice in each consecutive night. Mattresses slide from boards put under them.

Don't expect too much of this hostel/guesthouse. The rooms are sober and far from clean with sticky floors, the bathrooms are rather ok. The towels will be changed only every two days and they are very old but clean washed (if you put them on the floor you will be charged 2 euros per towel extra)! Breakfast is very poor!... More

Must admit was a bit nervous after reading the reviews but hotel was perfect to house a group of 18. Staff were accommodating and friendly, rooms were bright and spacious and air con was a blessing. The roof top garden is a lovely place to relax and its convenient for exploring the city and beyond. Breakfast was a bonus too!... More

We booked a room fot 4 nights. The price was € 220,-- inlcuded breakfast. When we arrived early in the evening they gave us a garret with a low ceiling on the 3th floor. There is no elevator in this house. The bed was not longer thans 1.70 m. There is no bathroom. In the room, opposite of the bed,... More

When we arrived at Rua dos Anjos we had no idea the hotel wa located in what can be best described as a war zone. Gangs of extremely dodgy individuals fighting and sscreaming. We asked a local policeman for directions to the hotel as we thought we had arrived at the wrong location. We told us to cancel and stay... More

I arrived on September 24 at this establishment with fond memories of being there three years ago. Well, it's not the same. I arrived from a rough plane ride, and was up most of the night drinking water. When I returned to my bed I found a BED BUG! That's right, a bed bud, who, by the way, had fed... More

I've given an overall rating of two dots rather than one, because I think there are probably some folks who would find this hotel to be 'quaint'. The hotel has refurbished the rooms to a nice standard, but for me, there are just too many downsides: • The rooms have no telephones • There is no air conditioning. A fan... More
