It's difficult not to repeat what has already been said so many times before in previous reviews. Zuzabed is simply the best. Fresh flowers, coffee and tea, a fridge for an afternoon bottle of Vino Verde, great breakfast and very comfortable rooms. Better than all of this is Luis. When I read previous reviews my thought was "this guy can't... more

Luis is an exceptonal host, but keep in mind, that is his business. It is a great location if you can climb the stairs to Zuzabed and inside the Inn. The breakfasts are bountiful, but Portugal has fantastic hams and cheeses, at breakfast it was pre-packaged lunch meat and cheese. I would recommend the stay for a couple days, but... more

What else can I say, what has not been said a hundered times before!? Yes, it is all true. The rooms are great (we stayed in the Vintage), clean and cosy and romantic. And we really felt at home as Luis wanted us to. He is so well organised and amiable and interested in people that we felt welcomed from... more

Well, I know this is a little late for the review, but we stayed in Sept 07 with friends in next room (on top with terrace). We all had a great experience! Louis was so hospitable and happy to help with anything & everything. Nothing was too much to ask. The rooms aren't huge and neither are the bathrooms, but... more

My husband and I just returned from 10 days in beautiful Portugal, traveling with my cousin and her husband. We had the good fortune to stay at Zuzabed - what a wonderful experience. From the minute the taxi drove up (as close as he could get!!!) to the entrance, we knew it would be a special visit. We arrived around... more

Luis Zuzarte isn't just the owner, he is your host for the duration of your stay. He is driven by a desire to ensure that you have a memorable visit, not only to Zuzabed but also to his city. After only a few minutes in his company he is not only your host but your friend and looks after all... more

We arrived in Lisbon and found Zuzabed to be a fantastic and amazing place!! Luis was a very gracious host! He was always taking care of us, making sure we were ok and had everything we needed. I had allergies to alot of food and Luis helped me to write some portugese phrases down so that I could communicate well... more

Luis was the best thing about Zuzabed - he is Zuzabed! On arrival Luis sat with us for a few minutes and went through all the information we'd need to make the most of our stay. He was friendly, charming and funny. The room was great - very cosy and clean. The communal area is faultless - it felt like... more

This have been our best experience. What other tripAdvisor member tell about ZuzaBed is exactly what we have found: an ambience familiar and friendly in a good position and not dangerous, where people choose to "live" there because only there you can find and live the great Lisbon Life. We usually have had breakfast at 8.30 and we staied there... more

Location: central, easily accesible to mass transit or taxis Interior: tastefully decorated Breakfast: delicious I stayed at the Terrace Castle room, the views were gorgeous. But what makes Zuzabed special is how helpful Luis is to every single guest. A bit of advise, go to Lisbon, stay at the charming Zuzabed for a few nights so you get to experience... more
