Luis and his darling Zuzabed definitely live up to their reputation (if not exceed). The B&B is located on a charming street in the heart of the city (the location could not be more ideal). Our (garden) room was very sweet and comfortable with a small balcony offering amazing views. Luis has the most congenial personality and is very good... more

From the moment we arrived, Luis (who was waiting for us at a cafe table outside, and called us by name) made us feel like we were a couple of old friends, staying in his apartment in Lisbon for the weekend. Gave a us a cell phone to contact him with, maps, and advice on local restaurants. Delicious breakfasts. Great... more

We have just returned from a 4 night stay and it was everything that has already been said. Luis is a marvelous host and does everything he can to make it a memorable visit. The rooms are equiped with everything you need (and have to pay extra for in most places!) as well as the many extras that make it... more

We booked this B&B after reading reviews and had a great time. Luis was as helpful and friendly as he could be and the breakfasts are great! We stayed in the Garden Terrace room, which has a really tiny bathroom (you can barely turn around in it), which we were told in advance, but the room opens onto a deck... more

This is the place to stay if you want to experience Lisbon as an insider. Zuzabed is a treat in every way. Luis makes you feel as though you were a welcomed friend instead of a paying guest from the first email to make a reservation to the farewell hugs as head to the airport. The breakfast is perfect. The... more

My 83 yr young mom and I travelled to Lisbon and stayed 4 nights in this lovely, homey, friendly and picturesque bed and breakfast. As all the other 100 plus reviews say, its everything and then some. We were lucky to stay in the Castle terrace room with a spectacular view of the city and the castle. We also enjoyed a nice... more

Believe the hype; Zuzabed is a fantastic B and B. It is located in the midst of a steep cobblestone stairway near the Rossio train station--a super location. There are three room; ours (the mid-sized one) was very comfortable with thoughtful touches like port, cereal bars, and DVDs. Luis, however, is what really makes Zuzabed shine--he is a gracious and... more

Great location, thoughtful rooms, welcoming host, yummy breakfast. Luis has really thought about what people want/need when they are on vacation. He has the tv loaded with DVDs; he gives you a cellphone so that you can call him at any time; he makes you feel right at home with good conversation, travel advise, etc. My only complaint - the... more

In Febuary, I am still thinking of our stay in Lisbon in November. Luis is the most helpful friendly host we have encountered in 40 years of travel. The B&B is quite intimate, and the rooms more than adequate, some small, but all thoughtfully decorated. But it is Luis that shines. From your greeting at the door - Port offered... more

We couldn't fault the fabulous welcome and hospitality offered by Luis, and we loved the small but thoughtfully and tastefully resourced accommodation (eg.coffee machine, loan of a mobile phone, binoculars, computer, lovely textiles and art work). Nothing was too much trouble for Luis, and although we enjoyed everything about Lisbon, we felt that our stay was enhanced by his attentive... more
