Hotel was centrally located, near Rossio square and metro station. Also bus stops were near the hotel. Breakfast was okey and filling. Wifi in the lobby was free of charge and it even worked in some rooms upstairs. Only minus was that the bathroom was impossibly cold without any heating system, rooms though were warm and really clean. Staff was... More

Me and a few friends stayed at the Alcobia hotel in November 2014. After reading majority of the positive reviews, i couldn't agree more! Even though the hotel is quite old-fashioned, with great character it was the perfect stay for us, especially if your looking at cost and location. The hotel - It has many floors (7 i think) and... I had a lovely stay there for three days. The location is very good, close to everything. You can get the underground directly from the airport (Aeroporto stop) to the square next to the hotel (Rossio stop). The staff is cozy and the breakfast is good. Good price!! Enjoy your holiday!

Stayed at hotel from 11th to 14th December & was very pleased with our choice. When we arrived we were greeted by reception & given key to our room on the 4th floor. Room was lovely, incredibly clean & had amazing views of the castle (as we had requested & hoped for). Lovely fluffy towels & sachets of shampoo/shower gel.... More

my brother found this hotel for me when my wife ended up in hospital as it was only minutes away and I have to say it was a great find.true it's not much to look at outside, but when you step out you are in the centre of lisbon,it is also surprisingly quiet seeing as it is so central.rooms (we had... The hotel is nothing much to look at from the outside and as other guests have remarked you have to walk up some steps to a small reception area and then more steps to the lift on the first floor. This was not a problem for us as we only had week-end luggage. Although our room was not huge and... More

In my eleven nights in four hotels in Portugal, Grande Pensao Residencial Alcobia had the fewest stars but turned out to be my wisest choice. The main reason: Location. The hotel stands on the border of the Alfama neighborhood and is just around the corner from one of the exits of the Rossio Metro station. Getting anywhere downtown is just... More

Located 2 minute walk from Rossio Metro or 10 euro taxi from airport. Friendly and efficient check in for our 3 night stay. Allocated room 308, comfortable bedroom with large bathroom. Air conditioning and easy to use free safe deposit. Good standards of housekeeping with simple but sufficient choice of breakfast. Our room had excellent views of Castle and the... More

We stayed at this hotel before going to Porto, and everything is located perfectly, but the only two things-no elevator from the first floor-to climb with heavy suitcases is quite hard and you have to hand in your keys each time you leave the hotel. Also, the room 101 doesn't have a good view. The room is not really spacious but ok.The best thing is... room was clean, hotel centrally located and Internet signal was good. Be advised though that stairs are not an option. We never do breakfast in places like this so can't eat to that. Besides, there are numerous places in the surrounding area in which to eat. Good value.
