Stayed here for 4 nights, very clean good size bathroom, warm room with a view to Castelo de San Jorge. Very friendly helpful reception staff even answering questions regarding hair dressers. We had one noisey night over a holiday weekend so all was forgiven. We went out each day for breakfast so cannot comment re breakfast. Squares and eating places... More

This place get a 4 for great location, it is close to everything. Nice staff in the reception. Rooms with thin walls. The breakfast was nothing special; bread and cakes, cheese and ham, cereal and yougurt. We recomend this place for what it is. Nice and simple.

The hotel has a really good location, in the city center and nearby the subway. We had a 4 person room and the room was of a good size, the shower didn't had a lot of power. The breakfast can be better, no good orange juice, just powder, coffee is so so, no fresh fruit, just out of a can,... More

basically I needed to book an hotel at the very last minute and quite late at night. moreover, looked for a cheap one as this was an unexpected cost. as such this hotel deifinitely gave me good value for my money. the room was basic, clean. the bed (namely the mattress) was a bit hard but the room itself was... Stayed for 3 nights while we explored Lisbon. 2 adults, 1 child, and they put us in a room on level 3 that had 4 beds. Room was basic but very functional, and as a bonus we had views of the Castle Sao Jorge out of our room windows. Location convenient - just off Rossio Square and very close to... More

Charged me for a room I didn't end up staying in, I called them and the lady on the phone was extremely rude about the situation and wouldn't even compromise. Stay away from this "hotel", it's pretty sketchy (which is why i didn't end up staying there) and they have terrible customer service skills.

This is a great value hotel which is very well located for exploring the city - just off Rossio square. The room was basic but clean and with an ensuite bathroom, and air conditioning. A basic breakfast is also included.

We stayed here for 8 nights in July 2015. We could not fault the hotel and its wonderful staff. They were fully booked on the first night and we ended up with a twin room, the staff were very accommodating and moved us the next day upon our request to a double room, they moved our luggage for us and... Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
