Located 2 minute walk from Rossio Metro or 10 euro taxi from airport. Friendly and efficient check in for our 3 night stay. Allocated room 308, comfortable bedroom with large bathroom. Air conditioning and easy to use free safe deposit. Good standards of housekeeping with simple but sufficient choice of breakfast. Our room had excellent views of Castle and the... More

We stayed at this hotel before going to Porto, and everything is located perfectly, but the only two things-no elevator from the first floor-to climb with heavy suitcases is quite hard and you have to hand in your keys each time you leave the hotel. Also, the room 101 doesn't have a good view. The room is not really spacious but ok.The best thing is... room was clean, hotel centrally located and Internet signal was good. Be advised though that stairs are not an option. We never do breakfast in places like this so can't eat to that. Besides, there are numerous places in the surrounding area in which to eat. Good value.

If you plan to go exploring the city most of your time in Lisbon rather than staying your hotel room, this is a great choice. The room we stayed was small with a small bathroom (we were a family of three with a teenage son), but it was extremely clean. I think it was one of the cleanest room that... More

If you are looking for something cheap and cheerful in the center of Lisbon, this place is perfect. Great location in the city center, rooms were basic but comfortable. TV had 60+ channels in all languages. Nothing special, but comfortable and quiet.

Myself and a friend stayed here in 2010 during June. We found the location to be ideal to get around Lisbon and close to a bustling square and within easy reach of shops and local bars. The hotel is basic but good value for money even if out room had no view but only to the rear but the power... More

I spent three nights here and while the location was ideal for visiting the city, the room and hotel left a lot to be desired. Our room was close to the elevator so that accounted for some of the noise, but the floor in the entire hotel is tile which meant that all of the hallway noise traveled very quickly... More

Spent one night at the Grande Pensao Alcobia. We were supposed to spend 2 nights but when we got there they did not have our reservation. They were very apologetic and arranged for a night at another hotel a few doors away, which was not as nice but adequate. We did not call the day before to confirm like I... More
