Spent one night at the Grande Pensao Alcobia. We were supposed to spend 2 nights but when we got there they did not have our reservation. They were very apologetic and arranged for a night at another hotel a few doors away, which was not as nice but adequate. We did not call the day before to confirm like I... More

Excellent location, right around the corner of metro station Rossio and in the heart of Lisbon. 5 minutes walking to the main streets with restaurants, stores and terraces at the sea. We did not have breakfast included, but it is possible to get an excellent breakfast with freshmade bread, juice and coffee for EUR 4-6 each in the streets nearby.... More

This hotel is situated at the heart of Lisboa, which is a perfect location to the castle, the sea , metro station and city center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The price was reasonable and the room was clean...

We've stayed here three times over three years and would do so again. Once for three days, twice as a one night stopover. What you're getting is: 1.Great location. Right in city centre. Sights, shops, trams, buses, metro, restaurants, cafes... Within five minutes of main airport bus drop off. 2. Relatively quiet (unless you've very talkative neighbours) even though trams pass... the hotel is cute but it's definitely not a 4 star...it's located in the centre of the city so it's close to the shops, buses, etc. me and my friend saw a beetle in the bathroom and on the ceiling.... as other users wrote, the problem is that the elevator is on the 1st floor so you gotta climb 2... I booked Grande Pensao Residencial Alcobia 3 months early than I went to Lisbon. I got a very good price. Even the room was not big but very clean. Also, I had my own balcony. The buffet breakfast were all with good taste. Downside : 1. Lobby was at 2F without elevator. I should carry on my heavy luggage went... More

I am on the fence about this hotel. I think had we not stayed on the 2nd floor (1st floor of rooms) I may have liked it better. And if the heater had worked better in our room I may have been more excited about this place. It just happened to be our heater that was weak, and they were... More

Location is great, room is basic, everything you need is there and it's very clean. Breakfast is ok, more extended than we expected in a Mediteranian country and there's also more than enough. Two subway stations very close by, major sights are within walkingdistance. And yes, you have to climb three stairs with your suitecase and the elevator is small,... More

This pension has spacious and comfortable rooms, but do be aware that there are stairs to carry luggage up. The lift is on the first floor and is very small. It was accommodation as part of a tour that I was travelling on so I am not sure about value for money. However, it was close to the major sights... More
