I go to hotel Aviz with a little emotion. I had read that was a magnificent hotel in his early ages, a lot of stars and important use to go there. For me, I could say that was a very nice experience. The hotel is in the middle of that is important in Lisboa, next to the statue of Marquez... More

Actually many features were great in this "old school hotel". We stayed at a very nice Marcello Mastrojani suite, which was very spacious and the price/quality ratio was excellent. However, the room service was less than perfect. Room was clean, but cleaned very late in the afternoon. Mini bar was never filled and they were very sparing with clean towels... More

This hotel once accommodated Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner: so what? It gives the impression that it is basking in past glory but has insufficient regard for non-celebrities staying there now. It has positive qualities: the rooms are clean and quiet; the bathrooms are fine, even if toiletries are limited, but they are of good quality (there were no tissues... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean, comfortable with clean modern bathrooms. I booked this hotel based on the great reviews on tripadvisor and it certainly didn't let us down! The breakfast was fantastic with such good variety and was plentiful. The only slight disappointment were no... More

We liked everything about this hotel. It is quality at an affordable price. The staff are wonderful - helpful, obliging, full of great suggestions and information about Lisbon and very approachable. The rooms, especially the beds are very comfortable and the breakfasts are excellent. Unlike quite a number of hotels that have central a/c, this one is receptive to the... More

We stayed at this hotel for a week during August and as a result would highly recommend it. I booked based on the positive reviews in Tripadvisor and can say without hesitation that I was very pleased with the choice. We got a very good deal through Travel Republic probably due to booking early. There are many positive things to... More

The welcome letter was very telling... It harkened back to the days of Frank Sinatra and Maria Callas when they stayed here (about four decades ago). Those days are obviously over. The hotel manager was grumpy and the room configuration we asked for was not honored. The mini-bar had the last occupants contents. The bath robes were so small that... More

The location is good but a bit far way from real action. The rooms are quite ok . The staff is friendly and even enthusiastic but do not expect too much if you need any help in organizing something tailor-made like individual tour. And do not ask restaurant recomendations - they obviously have a preset list of places. The vote... More

Very good value for the price we paid for a twin room: very conveniently located near the M. pombal station of the blue line, clean and aspacoius room, marble-decorated bathroom, ancient furniture. Great breakfast buffet, both sweet and salted. Very kind and helpful staff. Don't pay attention to the negative Italian reviews, because Italian travellers are always complaining for pointless...
