Anyone who travels the world knows that she will have to recalibrate her expectations, in function of the standards of the country visited. Portugal has a wonderful and warm tradition of hospitality which tries to compensate for a lack of organization. In such a context, the Sana Malhoa can be rated as very good, for a seminar place. We were... More

Big hotel with very friendly staff, spacious clear and comfortable rooms. Ok breakfast. For me however it lacked identity and character which is a pity in Lisbon a city full of culture and character. Other disadvantages were rather far from the city, no coffee/tea maker in the room and internet had problems (difficult to log in, very slow).

hotel was fine , clean and modern , good breakfast. but it is not in the center of town , you will have to get used to the underground metro to get to the waterfront. some people have criticised the beds for being "hard" but i found it nice and firm !. the hotel is aimed at business customers being... All areas of Lisbon easy accessible as hotel is just a 300 metres away of tube station Praça de España, which is one the most central tubestations in Lisbon, so Lisbon can be explored without spending too much time in travelling. Wi-Fi very good & fast, superb breakfast is served and staff is professional, friendly & skilled. Rooms are very... More

We had 3 wonderful days in Lisbon with 41 from Florida. The Hotel was great. Staff and food was A++. I do agree that you hear an occasional plane landing but it depends on the airport pattern and is not too loud. Beds are a little too hard is the only negative. It is an excellent choice!

I recently visited Lisbon for a week with my sister and stayed at the San Malhoa Hotel. The hotel is only a short transfer from the airport and is close to a metro station from where you can access the city and the train services to the Portuguese Riviera e.g. Cascais and the ferry service to the Cristo Rei statue.... Stayed three nights in Sana Malhoa Hotel in Lisbon. This was my third stay in this hotel and it represents excellent value. The rooms are well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. A reasonably sized bathroom came with a very good power shower. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a large selection of fresh fruits, breads & cooked food.... More

The hotel was clean and tidy, with good access to the city and airport. The Airbus2 [airport/city shuttle about eu3.50 each way] runs past the door, with the bus stop about 100 metres away. The 'Yellow Bus' hop-on hop-off bus also passes and uses the same bus stop. Breakfast buffet was very good, as was the meal we had in... More

While this hotel is slightly far from downtown, I picked this hotel for convenience with our rental car. It's a mostly business hotel, but we were some of the tourists there. Good breakfast buffet, get the room rate with breakfast. I believe the bus tour companies stop by, but we walked through the subway from -3 floor garage. 5 min... More

Lots of shopping at the large El Corte Ingles Department store not too far away. Not many restaurants in the area. The buffet at the hotel was very good. Our room was on the front and a little noisy from the traffic below. I would ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. Not that close to... More
