This is a wonderful property situated well overlooking Lisbon. Located in a quiet neighborhood. The staff was always friendly and quick to lend a hand or give direction regarding everything. The breakfast service was wonderful. The pool area provided a relaxing diversion after a day of exploring and before venturing out again in the evening. The rooms were spacious and... More

This hotel has a great location for historic lovers but it is uphill so you have to do a great ascension to arrive (or take the bus ! and don't stay next to the driver looking at the road unless you'd like an adrelina rush) We got "upgraded" because it was off-season and I forgot to take the credit card... A wonderful boutique style hotel in a superb location,on the edge of the alfama area. we had a large room with big terrace overlooking the city-fantastic views.easy to get to to baixa by nearby elevator, tram or easy walk. Alfama is just around the corner.the miradoro gracia is just a quick 5 minutes walk away.don,t miss the little wine bar on... More

Staff unfriendly already at arrival/check-in. The hotel is also located in a rather shabby area of Lisbon where you better dont stay on the streets when dark. Rooms are clean and tidy but very old-fashioned. The Breakfast "hall" is very small and not cosy at all, right next to the reception and entrance. Breakfast itself is not very nice, quality... More

Bar service poor, no real idea what they were doing and extremely expensive. Breakfast excellent, plenty of healthy selection. Scrambled eggs a bit stodgy. Good location in the old town. Staff very helpful with sight seeing information and planning.

We recently stayed 5 nights in the Olissippo Castello, based on the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed. We'd booked a standard room and were upgraded to a superior with balcony on the 2nd floor. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and the view from the balcony superb. The area around the hotel is a little 'shabby' but that... More

Okay so we were ripped off by the taxi driver but hardly the hotel's fault. I had emailed the hotel beforehand as it was our 5th wedding anniversary while we were there and requested a room on the 4th floor. This gave us a perfect view of Lisbon and the crane. The very nice man on reception explained that we... More

I paid for upgrade of room with balcony and view , but unfortunately the view was obstructed with a big construction crane in centimeters in front of the balcony. But anyway the view was magnificent. The problem is that the gay which welcomed us (I think his name was Riu or Raul ) did not informed us or at least... More

This hotel is located behind the Caste of Sao Jorge on a quiet street. The views from of our hotel room gave us a wonderful vista of a good section of Lisbon. The rooms are very well maintained and comparatively large as we had the junior suite. Lisbon is not an expensive city so the hotel is comparatively not expensive... More

We stayed at the Olissippo Castelo in 2008, and when we decided to visit Lisbon again this year we barely even considered any alternatives. The hotel is extremely well-maintained and presented, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. We've stayed in both classes of room, and found them to be well-furnished and spotless. The buffet breakfast has an... More
