Older property located on a hillside overlooking the city. Easy walk to the water, restaurants and favorite sites. Breakfast included is rather humdrum. Parking would be a problem if you have a vehicle. Friendly attentive staff. Room was quiet and comfortable.

Perfectly situated within easy walking distance of Alfama with its winding lanes littered with restaurants and photo-opportunities at every turn. We arrived on June 12 which is Lisbon's craziest night as they celebrate the feast of St Anthony. Because of this, our shuttle from the airport could not drive directly to our hotel. However, the driver parked up and took... More

This hotel was beautiful. It was right beside the Castle and had a view over Lisbon. Our room was beautiful and reasonable for the price. It was a bit difficult to drive to because of the steep and narrow roads but it had an indoor parking garage if you reserve ahead of time. I would recommend this place and stay... More

Full marks on all aspects of this hotel. Staff welcoming, rooms beautiful, comfortable and luxurious, spacious, great view, only location gets less than full marks because some people wouldn't like it being out of the centre and up a hill. But the plus for this is the view and also the quiet, no question of being woken by traffic noise.... More

I stayed at the hotel one night and it was rather far from Lisbon Centre. VERY strange area with a lot of seasonal workers, beggars etc.... Rooms are really great though - mine was with a huge terrace and astonishing view on the red roofs of Lisbon/ The hotel receptionist recommended me one local restaurant that was rather good -... It says it has view over the old castle but thats not true, the view is not the best. And, there is no terass like they say in the website but a few rooms on 3rd floor have terasses, thats it. Else it was a decent standard and nice staff. Breakfast was not the best but ok, a bit to... More

The room design is tasteful- in a traditional sense. I like the wallpaper & patterned carpeting. Good matching of faux- classical furniture. The lobby design is nothing to write home about. Very slow internet- would not even allow viewing of website photos. Largely clean, except shower curtain. When I requested a fresh curtain- without strong bacterial odor- housekeeping obligingly complied.... More
