Huge room and terrace but very unfriendly unhelpful staff. Mixed area building work, graffiti - hard on the legs and feet because of steps/hills. We stayed here for three nights in Sept., and had a terrace room with a great view. Our room was large, with a roomy bathroom (tub and shower combo and a large sink area), and the breakfasts were good. It is definitely worth it to spring for a terrace room. We stayed here with our two year old daughter and a friend in June 2009. We had two rooms with balconies looking out towards Graca. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was generally pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the hotel well accommodated our daughter. We did not drive a car.... more

This nicely appointed hotel appears completely uninterested in its guests. Day-old rolls and no service at breakfast, part time reception that is woefully ignorant of, e.g., the workings of the metro system. Wonderful small 4-star hotel in one of Lisbon's most interesting surroundings. Lovely, big enough room and bathroom (book the superior room with terrace, it's absolutely worth it!). When we arrived late at night (ripped off by the taxi), our last minute reservation hadn't arrived at the desk yet, and their computer system was down. hotel quite good value at 95 euro/nite incl bfast. nice, roomy room, if a bit plain. very clean and lovely marble bathroom with nice italian toiletries. staff appear to be minimal in numbers (perhaps due to offseason??) but very friendly and helpful ,tho more in a reactive way, rather than proactive. breakfast suitable, but would've preferred more choice. only real... more
