but be a bit wary of Rooms 6 and 7. We stayed at the hotel over Xmas. In room 6 the shower heating control does not work, (either very hot or cold water), neither does the hand shower. In room 7 there was a sewage smell - tried to block it off with towels in the shower, but not much... More

I stayed in Lisbon for four very rainy days in November, and I couldn't have been happier with Casa Oliver. The location, in Principe Real, is superb -- slightly removed from the hubbub of Bairro Alto, and with numerous great shops and restaurants, both modern and traditional, in walking distance. The atmosphere in Casa Oliver was lovely. Spacious rooms, comfortable... More

We really liked this hotel and lisbon in general. But much like the city the hotel could be much improved. Our room was clean and comfortable and in general the staff friendly, but... The plumbing left something to be desired. Our shower unit was broken. We had to use the hand held shower head which made the task somewhat challenging.... More

The location is perfect. At night the area gets a little busy...but that is not really a bad thing. You are in the heart of Lisbons nightlife. The B&B has no reception and you are given a couple of codes to access the building and the room. The building has an old and charming architecture and it's well maintained. The... More

I spent two nights in Casa Oliver in July and loved it. My room was clean and spacious with fabulous views over Lisbon, especially at sunrise. On each floor there is a common sitting area and on one floor a coffee machine and, if you choose the option, breakfast. There are bars and restaurants practically on the hotel's doorstep (but... The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is amazing and the prices were reasonable - all things considered. However, despite a maid coming in to make our bed everyday they failed to provide us with fresh towels, and were forced to use the same two over our four day stay. The only towel they did replace was the smaller hand... More

We have stayed at Casa Oliver mid June 2014. We were welcomed by Pedro who was already waiting for us at the apartment. As agreed before we have given him all the details about our arrival in Lisbon. He also emailed us some useful tips about the best way of getting to the hotel from the airport. We chose a... More

I booked a quiet suite with garden view. We ended up in a dark room on the groundfloor with windy windows to the streetside. it was a terrible night! it felt like we had been laying on the street all night- you can not offer this rooms to guests, for 60 Euros per night. We talked to Sonia who was... More

The Pros: *Liked the decoration of the room *Location was good *liked the view of the botanic garden * Friendly staff The Cons: *I actually paid extra for a "suite", then we were given what appeared to be one of the smallest rooms in the apartment (room 7). =money down the drain. The description in my reservation (which I had... More

Casa Oliver is in between a boutique hotel and a luxurious hostel. The rooms are very comfortable with high standard bedding and toiletries with every design carefully thought out. (just like a classic 4-5 star hotel) But the place is personable like a great hostel environment. (with nice and helpful owners and cool shared living space in the middle.) Definitely... More
