We have stayed at Casa Oliver mid June 2014. We were welcomed by Pedro who was already waiting for us at the apartment. As agreed before we have given him all the details about our arrival in Lisbon. He also emailed us some useful tips about the best way of getting to the hotel from the airport. We chose a... More

I booked a quiet suite with garden view. We ended up in a dark room on the groundfloor with windy windows to the streetside. it was a terrible night! it felt like we had been laying on the street all night- you can not offer this rooms to guests, for 60 Euros per night. We talked to Sonia who was... More

The Pros: *Liked the decoration of the room *Location was good *liked the view of the botanic garden * Friendly staff The Cons: *I actually paid extra for a "suite", then we were given what appeared to be one of the smallest rooms in the apartment (room 7). =money down the drain. The description in my reservation (which I had... More

Casa Oliver is in between a boutique hotel and a luxurious hostel. The rooms are very comfortable with high standard bedding and toiletries with every design carefully thought out. (just like a classic 4-5 star hotel) But the place is personable like a great hostel environment. (with nice and helpful owners and cool shared living space in the middle.) Definitely... More

We stayed in room 3 - described on expedia as a double room/suite - it was stunning - request this room, particularly lovely for a romantic get away - it's the room in the pictures with the bird painting on the walls. Location awesome 5 minutes to bairro alto and all it's tapas bars!15 mins down to the centre on... More

The room was really nice, very romantic, allegedly hand-painted by an old women, nice view over Praça Principe Real. It is situated at 3-5 min walk from Bairo Alto, the place to go out and have fun. There was some problems we have experienced : our room was not ready (not cleaned) even if we arrived around 8PM, there was... More

We booked a suite which looked beautiful and then read trip advisor!!! Yes it happened to us too....the room we were shown to was small with inadequate fittings. When I tried to explain to Veronique she just spoke over me and was very arrogant. She finally offered us another room which was indeed a suite and was very beautiful. Unfortunately... More

We loved staying here. Our room was beautiful and large with the most amazing decorated walls and ceiling in typical Portuguese style. Walking distance from Bairo Alto and other amazing suburbs. You can find affordable delicious food in the small backstreets.Casa Oliver is right across from a main bus stop. Highly recommended.

This is an old house converted into rooms and a couple of suites; our suite on the ground floor had ample sized rooms with very high ceilings. The fittings and fixtures were modern, the bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom was sumptuous (although the shower was leaking in our room) and the décor was to a high standard. The... More

Casa Oliver is great when you don't expect an hotel lobby and you like to walk a bit up the hill. Its in a beautiful house in front of the Park 'Principe Real' what makes it nice but also a bit (5min walk up the hill) outside of the old town. I liked my stay even there were some problems.... More
