What a delight to return each evening to Casa Amora and to wake up to the most fantastic breakfast in a cozy garden setting. Juan was so helpful to me all week, finding me very challenging small group day tours(I should have worked out myself state-side); irecting me to the best shops for genuine household pottery and printing my boarding... We had a truly lovely stay at this B & B. It is beautifully furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable with the best pillows ever! Breakfast was a treat with different delicious foods served up each morning....Juan and other staff members were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. It is really... More

Definitely one of the best places we've stayed. As everyone else has said, Juan's attentiveness and willingness to help really makes a difference. The breakfasts were fantastic and the courtyard a lovely place to relax after a busy day. The themed rooms are also a nice touch. We'd never heard of Fernando Pessoa before but staying in his room meant... More

My partner and I stayed at Casa Amora during our three day stint in Lisbon and were so pleased with the hospitality of Juan and the staff. Upon arrival he sat down with us to tell us about all the places we should visit in the city. He helped us over the course of our stay with reservations and helping... More

We can whole heartily endorse the rave reviews for Casa Amora. We started our Portugal vacation in Lisbon. Juan, one of the managers, met us on our arrival. We happily put ourselves in his hands for the next three days. His recommendations were spot on. He never seems to rest. Maria's breakfast's were outstanding. The decor is lovely through out.... Easily one of the best hotel / guesthouse we have stayed anywhere in the world. The personal care provided by Juan and Luis is difficult to match. We felt we were living in our own apartment in Lisbon . Breakfast is simply fabulous with home cooked surprises , done by the cheerful Maria . Breakfast is a great time here... More

Our flight was delayed so we arrived late at Casa Amora but Juan was there to help us out when we arrived. Next time the 'Lisbon tips' should be given the day after since it's of no use the same evening. Juan has good tips for nice places to eat for an affordable price (compared with the Netherlands) such as... More

I have travelled quite extensively and stayed in B&B's and hotels all over the world but never have I been more impressed; This guesthouse is truly a hidden gem. The apartments are stylish, extremely well furnished and ours was spotlessly clean. The breakfast is more than amazing; There is an impressive selection of home made cakes, ham and cheese, juices... We were greeted the late night of our arrival by one of the owners, Luis. His warm welcome immediately set the tone for our entire stay - friendly and helpful. He and Juan spent time helping us to plan our stay in Lisbon by suggesting places that they thought we would like to see based upon our input. Our accommodation... More

Imagine good taste in every detail. Now add a particular nice way to care about of what all your concerns may be. Then sum up an extraordinary atmosphere. A little bit of an adorable outside peaceful lounge. And, as the cheri on top of the cake, beautiful surroundings. This is just a part of all you will get from and... More
