We stayed in the appartment around the block from the hostel, so cant speak for the rooms inside the hostel itself. The appartment had all nescessary things, was nicely decorated, clean and well priced. Staff was really friendly and helpfull. However, the appartment walls have a moisture problem, resulting in a mouldy smell, which is not acceptable. Otherwise, great place!

This place is value for money in itself but the location can sometimes make you travel more than you ought to for things in Lisbon. The metro Santa Apollonia is to be reached by a 15 minute downhill trek that may extend to over 30 if you don't figure out all the Becos on the way! The hostel is very... More

We had the lovely 'suite' room. Well decorated and stylish. The staff is friendly and helpfull. We had the bathroom enclosed to our room, but the other bathrooms in this hostel also looked very nice and clean. There was a good atmosphere in the hostel. The location is great and in the most beautifull part of Lisboa. Downside: it was... More

This hostel is in a nice neighborhood near some lovely parks. It's easy to walk to a lot of interesting places in Lisbon from it. I had a great time there and met some wonderful travelers. The property itself is not in great shape, however. There are some beautiful architectural details that stand out, but it isn't well cared for.... More

I stayed at the lisbon soul for 3 days! We were greeted at reception by a lovely girl who then took us to our rooms and on a tour of the hostel! it is not a big hostel but had everything we needed. The wifi was great and breakfast wasn't much but had enough to get you by! The location... More

The positive: - relatively cheap. The negative: - Some rooms are really noisy because of the street. - The fridge on the kitchen is a total mess (they should be more strict with the guests food). - The rooms are very basic equipped. - They didn't cleaned the toilets for days.

We were staying at Soul hostel for only 1 night. It's a nice place to stay, very cosy and clean, but I really disliked the location. I mean the location itself is great, Alfama is a nice place to wander around, but it's not easy to get to the hostel. We got of at Martim Moniz metro station and then... More

I stayed in the Lisbon Soul Hostel for three days in September 2013. I got there and also left with mixed feelings: At first, it is quite a journey to get there, as it is situated in the Alfama, close to the castle São Jorge. After 8.30, few metros and busses ever go this way which is quite a big... More

The nicest staff in a fabulous hostel a step away from the castle, the main catedral, the stunning Graça's church and São Vicente de Fora basilica. Here you are in Alfama the earth of the medieval Lisbon and you can just walk down to the modern center of Lisbon (10 minutes walk). If you like, the famous tramway 28 stops at... More

The hostel is located right in the old part of Lisbon, Alfama. It is in a walking distance of all the importan historical sites, for example: Sao Jorge castle, the cathedral, the museum of Roman theatre to name just a few. There are great restaurants in Alfama. Just a few steps away one can enjoy in a beautiful view of... More
