Lisbon is an easy city to visit, and this hotel is a good place to stay. We were re-directed 25m round the corner to the "sister" hotel, the Joao XX1, but don't worry, it is not a problem, and has a life and air conditioning as well. The location is near the centre but in a "normal" district, with 3... More

We should have stayed at the Residencial Mar dos Acores but were redirected to their sister hostel round the corner, Joao XXI, rua Gomes Freire, 179, Lisbon. Situated in a residential/business (but only a 20min. Walk to Lisbon centre) area with plenty of cafes, eating places and local mini markets. The reception area is situated on the first floor and... The guesthouse is located within a 5-7 minute reach from the bus stop to the airport, while the historical centre can be walked to in half an hour or so. Rooms are small, but well equipped and clean, and so are the shared bathrooms (rooms come with a sink only). The staff was helpful and I had a good experience... More

Nice, helpful staff, smallish room, but clean and basic, air con a bonus,a reasonable walk in all directions to shops and restaurants,a very reasonable rice. Altogether a good experience, would book again.

I booked 1 night here since I was arriving before the rest of my party. The place is well-situated and extremely inexpensive (and includes wifi and TV), but the room was incredibly warm and humid, so it was an uncomfortable night's sleep. Worth it for a night, but no more. Be sure to bring your own toiletries or stop by... More

I stayed here in June 14. The hotel was clean and room decent size. However, it is a bit of a hike from the city centre. If u luv walking, I say go for it. If not, hotel nots for u. Taxis are available and charge a decent price. No breakfast is available just a vending machine. Eateries are located... More

It was my second visit in this hostel and I will definitely stay there next time I am in Lisbon. No any serious reasons to complain. Only ask at the beginning to get remote control to the AC, because even though it is not working it may automatically switch on in the middle of the night and cool the room... More

Chep hotel, but you hear everything that happens in the other rooms (including all water noises, such as showers, toilets...), the room is constantly humid, and the beds are low quality. We recommend that you spend a few more to find a more comfortable hotel to enjoy your stay in Lisbon.
