The Hotel Mundial was an excellent choice during a recent visit to Lisbon. The location, well-maintained rooms and the moderate price were deciding factors in choosing this hotel. The hotel was on a tram/bus stop and had walking access to many of the sights of Lisbon, including the train station. The room was moderate size and appeared to be recently... more

Extremely well located. At some meters from a metro station, in the nicest part of the city. No service (nobody to carry your luggage, por ex.). Charges Euros 10.00 for 30mn of Internet (computer incl.) or half if you use your own laptop. Just go to Western Union next corner. Our room (112) had a carpet full of dust, and... more

The Mundail is clean, comfortable (with the exception of beds and pillows; hard beds, lumpy pillows) and positioned in an excellent location that is close to all major sights and shopping, as well as transportation (tram stop located across the street form the hotel). They serve a very good breakfast buffet with American style coffee!!! Relax and have a drink... more

After sifting through many of the alternatives for staying in the old districts of Lisbon, the Mundial is a satisfactory place to hang one's hat while touring...one wouldn't be tempted to hang out in the room for long. The rooms are adequate but certainly nothing special. Institutional rather than charming, I believe, would be an accurate description. Breakfast was better... more

Very good hotel, very central. Our room was good, but the closet was very close to the bed and the curtains didn't close. Be sure to take a peg with you. We stayed on the 4th floor, I think the noise from outside is much louder when you are staying on the lower floors. The breakfast is very good with a... more

Husband and I are just back from this hotel. Had to get them to change my room, as rooms are small and thight, got a twin room with balacony in the end. Its regarded as 4*, but i guess they get this for location. Its right in the middle of lisbon and everything is around you. No pool. Breakfast good.... more

This hotel offers rooms that are large in comparison to many European hotels, baths are also large, with bathrobes, hair dryers, hot showers with good water pressure. The entire hotel is very clean, public areas, rooms and baths look like they are scrubbed daily. There is internet service (for which there is a charge). The bar/restaurant on the lobby level... more

No doubt the main selling point of the Mundial is its location, not more than 5 minutes’ walk from Rossio Square. The hotel is otherwise rather average. Our room was large but disappointingly bland for a 4 star hotel, featuring some rather plain, worn out furniture. We found some rubbish left over by previous guests in one of the drawers... more

We have just returned from a weekend mini-break in Lisbon staying at the Hotel Mundial. Our guidebook recommended we take the Aerobus (3.50 Euro) from the airport to Rossio because the taxi drivers tend to overcharge. This proved to be a bit of a mistake. The bus was grossly overcrowded standing room all the way, and a taxi (which we... more
