I stayed at the Vila Gale Opera for business because it was very convenient as it was 2 mn walk from the congress center. If I would go for leisure I would not stay there, too far from the center. I don't have much to say about this hotel... It isn't anything special, but it's ok for the price. It has everything that you need, the staff is not friendly, but it's ok. In Portugal normally people are friendlier, but it's ok. Good to stay a couple of nights. more

Average convention hotel with a captive audience - only a block from the convention center. Convenient for a stroll down to Belem and the docks but requires cab (15 min/10Euro) each way to get to downtown areas.
