We really enjoyed our stay at the Amazonia Lisboa. It's a bit of a hike from the action farther into the city. WEAR GOOD SHOES!!! Other than that, there are plenty of restaurants and Pastelarias in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful! It's perfect for the average traveler just don't expect a lot of amenities. more

My girlfriend and i spent three nights here and we thought it was ok ,not as bad as some of the reviews here made it out to be The rooms do require some work though ,the first morning ,we woke ,i opened the curtains they fell down, off i strolled to the loo only to find my buttock being pinched and... more

We stayed from the 26th Dec to the 31st and booked a package deal of Hotel and Flights and reading the reviews and thought we would get what we paid for but I think we got more... Once we arrived we were quite surprised. Nothing flash but the typical hotel lobby, the room was your standard twins pushed together, mini... more

This was the worst holiday I ever had. During THE FIRST 10 MINUTES I left the room to check the reception the cleaning staff took 200.00 EUROS out of my wallet. Evidence: the machine they checked who had entered the room declared that the cleaning staff had entered my room while they already HAD CLEANED MY ROOM. We never saw... more

After reading many of the previous reviews I would agree with many comments: the hotel is only 15 minutes brisk walk to Bairro Alto passing many cafes along the way so it's location is good as it is both near to everything yet far enough away to be quiet. The pool is tiny - just a plunge pool really, but... more

I stay three (3) nights at the Amazonia Lisboa Hotel in March of 2008. I paid 40 Euro nightly. The staff is friendly and helpful. The accommodations are basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a quite neighborhood that is close to bus lines and the metro. The hotel is easily reached from the airport by taking... more

Arrived on Oct 4 for five nights. THis property is very popular with the larger tour groups so check-in can sometimes take awhile. Was assigned a room on the top (8th) floor with a decent view. Rooms were basic but everything is there. Large enough bathroon, wardrobe, fridge, safe (must pay E15 deposit to use). Small TV is attached to... more

We stayed at the Amazonia Hotel in August 2007 for 2 weeks, myself, my wife, my 18 yr old daughter and our 9-year old son. The only two negative things we can say about the Amazonia are (1) very noisy air-conditioning units and (2) the beds could be a lot more comfortable. The rest was well above average. For a... more

We were allocated this hotel by another which had over booked. This hotel was staffed by people who don't know how to smile or talk to people. We talked to the reception staff on several occasions - not one smile. The hotel smells like it needs redecorating - the room was clean but basic. The shower was poor - and... more

Nice hotel. Good breakfast, clean room, friendly staff, reception 24, free luggage-room for travellers. Pool is open air and situable only in hot weather. There is good "airplane wiev" at nights, because hotel located near of airplanes rutes near of Lisboa airport. But it is not noisy. more
