We stayed here for 4 nights in a room with private bathroom. Room was very clean and spacious. Furniture was new and modern. Bathroom was nice and clean. Very helpful staff, they helped us with all needed information and touristic reservations. Location is ok, 10-minute walk to the city center. Guest house is near metro station, there are also several... More

Residencial do Sul (Residencia do Sul ) is a very clean, low profile place. It is conveniently located in Avenida Almirante Reis (subway exit “Intendente”) which is the “melting pot” of Lisbon – that's the neighbourhood where you find all sorts of nationalities, including their shops/establishments, from Halal to Chinese, etc. All in good harmony. A nice thing to see.... More

We stayed 5 days in the room with air conditioning and private toilet. The room was clean, good bed and nice shower. The reception guy was very helpful and the hotel location was good. The only thing I didn't like was that the wi fi connection was only available in the main hall.

We stayed for 2 nights in room 407 - it is an attic room with a small window. The general smell of the room was mouldy and it didn't help that the toilet had no ventilation inside (and no windows, too). The beds are really hard and I had trouble sleeping in it. However, it is an okay size for... More

We stayed 3 nights in October 2014. -The building is situated just north of downtown Lisbon, very near the Intendente (Metro) station. Not a good area, not too bad either. -There is 24 hour reception where they require you to leave your room key each time you step out of the hostel. Friendly staff. -A tiny elevator is available for... More

The hotel is very clean, rooms are cleaned daily. Staff is friendly and speaks English. The hotel is located next to metro station and is in the walking distance from the castle and the city center. WiFi is available in the lounge on the first floor only. They had some problem with my credit card. I tried to pay in... More

We spent 3 nights here. Hotel is not exactly in city centre, but accessable by metro. Not the best neighborhood also, bot nothing terrible. The hotel is beautifully renovated, I just loved the painted decorations on the corridors and the "salon" (meeting room with free wifi). Rooms are also nice - compared to other horrible 100-year-old motels that can be... More

Good hotel, kept prettty clean. Stayed on the 3rd floor with a balcony, which was cool because got to see down the whole main road. Area isnt as great as Bairro Alto.... but convenient flat walk for about 10-15 mins into the city centre/bay area. We had a room where we had a shared bathroom... Only we used it though,... More

When I'm travelling solo, I generally opt for a basic hotel with good transport links, but as little "frills" as possible - I'm only going to be "laying my head there". Residencial do Sul ticked all those boxes! As I arrived on Friday morning, well before check-in time, Patricia was very welcoming and more than happy to let me leave... More
