The hotel is very clean, rooms are cleaned daily. Staff is friendly and speaks English. The hotel is located next to metro station and is in the walking distance from the castle and the city center. WiFi is available in the lounge on the first floor only. They had some problem with my credit card. I tried to pay in... More

We spent 3 nights here. Hotel is not exactly in city centre, but accessable by metro. Not the best neighborhood also, bot nothing terrible. The hotel is beautifully renovated, I just loved the painted decorations on the corridors and the "salon" (meeting room with free wifi). Rooms are also nice - compared to other horrible 100-year-old motels that can be... More

Good hotel, kept prettty clean. Stayed on the 3rd floor with a balcony, which was cool because got to see down the whole main road. Area isnt as great as Bairro Alto.... but convenient flat walk for about 10-15 mins into the city centre/bay area. We had a room where we had a shared bathroom... Only we used it though,... More

We spent 1 night at do Sul in the middle of Apr 2014 diring our trip in Portugal. Pros: - Location is good, 70 meters from Anjos metro station, you are close to everything. - En-suite facilities. - Friendly staff. - You can leave your baggage till evening for free. Cons: - No Wi-Fi in the room. You can use... More

When I'm travelling solo, I generally opt for a basic hotel with good transport links, but as little "frills" as possible - I'm only going to be "laying my head there". Residencial do Sul ticked all those boxes! As I arrived on Friday morning, well before check-in time, Patricia was very welcoming and more than happy to let me leave... More

To start with the good points-yes staff are fairly friendly and helpful as stated in other reviews. Location is Ok-metro Independente is very near by and it was 15 mins walk to Rossio Square and I thought the neighbourhood was Ok. There are cafes nearby for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I think that the hotel is pretty clean. Price is... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are small but clean and nice. The pensão is located next to a metro station so it makes it easy to move around the city or to/from the airport. I was staying in winter and the room was a bit too cold, but that's the only real minus. I can recommend... More

I was sent here because the neighbouring "Residencial Castromira" had accepted my reservation but was closed because of low season. And low season it was: mid November, very few visitors, very quiet and a cost of only 32 Euro for two nights. The room was spacious and clean (very clean) with a double bed, a hanger and a waste bin.... More

The hotel is located within walking distance from famous Rossio Square. If you want to walk there you can do it easily, but it's better to use Lisnon subway to reach it and have only a short walk from the metro station to the hotel. There are several good restaurants with seafood. In the evening you recognize them because of... More

The hotel is not in a good shape, the closet to hand clothe is too low, too small The room is quite clean, even if the shower is not in a very good shape The employee's attitude is correct but not warm at all - that's a shame, you do not feel like a special guest at all. It's a... More
