Large reasonably well located hotel. Very good service from friendly and helpful staff - this is clearly something that the hotel focuses on and they do it well. However, I don't think the hotel itself rates as 5 star. Its big and has lots of facilities but is now quite outdated. There is a choice of bars and restuarants in... more

Business trip to Lisbon - stayed in the Altis for a week. Arrived late evening Saturday, after very quick taxi ride from airport which cost about 8 Euros. Check in was quick, friendly and paid 50 euros extra for wifi access. Very impressed with room which was amazingly clean and contained most of the essentials like a safe and a... more

We have just spent three nights in the Golden Tulip for our friends birthday. The hotel is in a good position within walking distance of most of the sights (Lisbon is situated on several hills so be prepared). The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The pool is welcoming, clean and... more

We stayed for one night in this hotel which was booked for us by friends. We arrived in late afternoon and got a room to the backyard of the hotel in the fifth floor. Probably, we won't return. What was good: - Location of hotel is ok, as a subway station is in front of the hotel (the location itself... more

This is quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We arrived late after booking through a website that we use all the time and have never had trouble with. When we arrived the lady at the front desk claimed she didn't receive our booking (even though we had a print out with the confirmation number etc). She... more

I stayed at this hotel whilst on business. On the morning after arriving I called down to reception to ask to borrow an iron as there was not one in the room. I was told that it was not hotel practice to lend out irons and that I would have to put my items into the laundry (at a cost... more

We got this place through the Tourist Info office in the city after arriving in town in the evening with nowhere to stay. They got us a rate of €120 which we were happy with. Its got some great features that we didnt use like pool and gym and restaurants. The room was fine apart from the hard bed. Large... more

A little dated inside but clean tidy with friendly staff. Quick taxi drive from the airport and suited me for my business meetings. I am sure there are other hotels better located for the tourist areas. Gave me late check out for free which I appreciated and worth a mention more

The location of this hotel is the best because it is in a quiet neighborhood filled with office buildings and apartment buildings, and 2 blocks from the main street Avenida da Liberdade, and walking distance to downtown. The room we got was very nice, and it had a big bathroom with the toilet in a separate stall. The staff were... more

We stayed here for a weekend in February and thought the hotel was fine - walkable into the centre of Lisbon (as long as you don't mind the hills), good breakfast, nice rooms - although the walls were a little thin and FC Porto were staying in the hotel whilst we were there, so were a little rowdy in the... more
