Great location on a hill over-looking the city - amazing views. Well equipped, nicely decorated rooms - not modern, but plenty of style. Not pretentious. Ample, good breakfast. The restaurant/bar with its terrace both have views of the whole city, castle, bridge, etc. Friendly staff - especially the bar tender who has been there for years and has a few... More

The views alone from both the terrace of my room and from the breakfast area on the top floor would make this hotel a great place to stay, but it was also clean, quiet, and comfortable. Its location at the top of a hill, with a bit of a walk to the nearest tram stop, would be difficult if you... More

I found myself in Lisbon again for business and decided to stay at my old haunt, the Albergaria Senhora do Monte. To be honest, I was somewhat apprehensive as hadn't stayed there for some time and things do tend to disappoint after a while. However, that was not the case here. I was welcomed by the staff as in the... More

Having first stayed here in April 2012, my wife and I stayed here again in August 2013. This time we booked a slightly smaller, cheaper room - but it met our needs and was clean and comfortable. The location gives a wonderful view over the city, but the uphill climb would probably be too much for the less mobile. The... More

The sight over Lisboa is good... but that‘s all. the rooms are nice but old with old furniture, breakfast is poor and there is no one attending the dining room, you have to help yourself also or taking plates and cups. In general a good value for money in a good position, but nothing special.

the location of the hotel is great- it in the historic Graca area of lisbon. The views from the bar are spectacular. However, the service is not the best nor are the rooms. THe bathroom smelled. For the location I would stay again, overall I would go to the Sheraton or Four Seasons.

Situated at the top of a hill gave us great views from our room of the town and castle; however, some stamina is required to climb up the last steep slope. Tram 28 is fun and exciting-a great way to get into town, and hop on-hop off tickets are available at the tobacconists. However, beware of pickpockets; we witnessed a... More

We stayed here 3 nights on our first ever visit to Portugal and were welcomed with open arms. The view was gorgeous day and night especially of the castle and bridge. It has excellent access to restaurants and a great way to burn off calories from meals. Staff were very helpful with directions and suggestions. Very clean rooms although as... More

We stayed in this hill top hotel for 4 nights in December 2012. An excellent view of Lisbon from our room, clean and comfortable. It's convenient to walk downhill to city centre. We found it good exercise for us everyday walking uphill after dinner . Definitely not for the physically challenged.

The only good thing about this place are rooms with city view. Everything else is horrendous. I have taken tram 28 to get to the hotel and been mugged by group of men. Well, it happens, so never mind. However, I was disappointed how unsympathetic hotel staff were after what was to me quite an unpleasant experience. Not helpful at... More
