Staying at Residencia Nazareth gave us a much more colorful experience than at a more generic hotel. The place is owned and run by a Portuguese-Indian family, and we found the desk staff crusty but helpful - even likable. Our room was large (I think we must have gotten upgraded or something) and very bright, clean, and comfortable, with slightly... more

We received rather cold welcome as we arrived in this hostel. The elderly man behing the desk was rude and obviously never heard about customer oriented approach... Quite similar experience with the previous review :) In addition, our room was poorly cleaned and there was horrible smell - as if there had been someone smoking constantly...might have come from the... more

In a time when $1 only buys you €0.63 (as of 3/7/08), finding a hotel that won't break the bank becomes cumbersome. With that in mind, Residencia Nazareth gives you a good value albeit at the expense of other things you look for in a hotel. A quad room for 5 nights at €78 per night is an arguably fantastic... more

The Residencial Nazareth truly has a charm all its own and was a real plus point of our holiday. We have never stayed in a place quite like it - rusty old charm, meets the 80s, but some how it works. We stayed in a large twin room on the 5th floor, with a good sized bathroom, comfy beds and... more

Just returned from a 4-day stay in Lisbon. Stayed at Residencial Nazareth which we booked through eBookers.ie. We were pleasantly surprised as we hadn't expected anything as good bearing in mind the price we paid - very reasonable. We followed the instructions and found Reception on the 4th Floor as stated (Had read a previous review complaining Reception was hard... more

Very strange being on the 4th and 5th floors of an old style office block. As stated in other reviews, the lift is rather noisy but only goes up to the 4th floor, so being on the 5th floor and down the corridor we were not bothered by it. Some other guests were a little noisy due to the lightweight... more

Read other reviews on this hotel and don't understand them. After being totally confused as to the exact location of this hotel in the building. Lift noisy (kept awake at night by it), the bar only served soft drinks, not enough tables for breakfast and our room was not like any from the pictures. Smelt musty, no mini bar -... more

Much nicer than you'd expect for 45 euro a night. Just one Metro stop from the heart of Lisbon. Very friendly and responsive staff. more
