I could have given this hotel 5 star had it not been for the staff's service. We had a room on the top floor with spectacular view on both sides, so we were happy! The hotel is located near the centre of Bairo Alto, so it's very convenient to walk around to discover the neighbourhood and the city. It's also... More

We were very, very happy with our stay at Botanico. The staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating. Carolina gave us great advice on places to go and how to get there. Rooms are simple but clean. A little bit colder in the room than we are used to but lots of blankets were available. The location is perfect. Just... More

We recently stayed at this hotel, and emailed the hotel before arriving to request a room with a view. The guy who checked us in firstly claimed the hotel was full and checked us info a room with an average, but acceptable view. He then came up just agree we entered the room, and swapped is info a room with... More

As other people have said, it isn't an amazing hotel, but it's in a great location and is still a good hotel. It is also easy to walk to a lot of interesting places. We stayed here as part of a Groupon deal so not sure how much it cost. Free wifi is always a plus too.

The hotel is a little dated from the outside but once inside you can see that it's taken care of fine. I mean I wouldn't say there's anything to write home about but it's good for the price and the staff is very friendly. My room had a bidet soo that's a win. We also had a bathtub that my... More

We purchased the stay at the Botanico as part of an airfare/hotel package offered by European Destinations/Solar Tours (which I highly recommend for European trips). Yes, the hotel is located up the hill from Alegria park, but is only a short walk from the Avenida da Liberdade and old downtown Lisbon. It is also conveniently located from the Avenida metro... I stayed at this hotel last month with a friend, it's a decent hotel, albeit a little dated which I did expect due to the pictures online. So the only issues I had was 1. heater in our room wasn't working, despite calling one of the staff to fix/switch it on - he said the air will warm up in... More

Compared to other hotels in the centre of Lisbon I stayed in Botânico offered good, friendly service and comfort for the price on several occasions. Book well ahead, in the tourist season. Well located in the centre of Lisbon.

This hotel is, as other reviewers have noted, a little dated. However, we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, offering us good advice when we asked. The room was adequate, with sufficient space, although the bed was rather hard and the pillows too small. The welcome drink was appreciated, and the location is extremely good -- walking... More

The hotel'a location is great, as it is a short walk away from the entertainment-packed Bairro Alto, shopping street Avenida da Liberdad, the metro, Rossio railway station etc. However, I was disappointed by their customer service and general demeanour. We arrived at the hotel around 11am but our room was ready well after 1pm, although the booking confirmation email had... More
