This is billed as a business hotel, located a few blocks walk from Marques de Pombal and Avenida de Liberdade. If you want to stay in Lisbon, choose another hotel. Madrid Hotel should be a 4 Star, but it's a dirt and neglected place in which you wouldn't pass a night. Be careful of what you wish for: A single room is a single room.... single blanket, single sheet, single bed, single hand towel, single bar of soap. Air conditioning is opening the window to the noisy street outside. The neighbours at night are 'friendly'. Stuck there the first night but moved to another hotel the next day. more
