Breakfasted here when refurbishment at the nearby Almirante meant that guests were sent across the road. Understandably with extra numbers, the staff at breakfast were in a muddle, because having guided me to a 2 person table, another staff member guided a couple to the same table while I was serving myself. An observant neighbouring young woman guest saw everything... More

We had a three nights deal and wanted somewhere not too far but sunny. It was our anniversary. The hotel was very clean and central with easy access to the town centre, transport and shopping. The room was very small, even for two people with a floor to ceiling window which overhung the pavement, hinged on one side with a... More

Having booked this hotel before reading TripAdvisor, I was kind of worried before arriving. However, this hotel was miles above my expectation. The room is modern, comfy and clean. The tv is big and contains multiple English channels which was welcome during my long stay. The bathroom was modern and the natural light coming in was really nice. The wifi... More

We visited Lisbon last week and were also sent to another hotel due to overbooking. Probably best to avoid this hotel as it seems to be a frequent occurrence. Additionally, the location is not very pleasant.

This hotel managed to overbook us (and atleast 7 over people the same day). We got moved to another hotel, which was 11km away from city center. We booked this hotel because of its location. The staff was helpful to get us to the other hotel, but everything was an horrible experience which ruined our day.

My wife and I have just returned from a short break staying at the Tsar Hotel in Lisbon. The experience overall was very good. The hotel was modern with light airy rooms, the restaurant for breakfast was excellent, although a limited menu was offered in the evening. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is situated in a good central... More

Hotel lovely and modern, breakfasts were good,( contrary to one review) and the staff very helpful. We were a bit dissapointed with the location, as it was a good half hours walk from the city centre. Saying that we soon mastered the Metro, just three stops to Rossio which puts you right in the centre of things.Buy a day ticket... More

We booked a romantic weekend away. Upon arrival the receptionist told us that the hotel was overbooked because of a "reservation system problem". it was overbooked that day by at least 16 rooms, and also the day before and the day after were many over bookings according to the receptionist. They offered us another hotel but which was a lot... More

For the first time ever, made a booking through online travel agency, as the rate was almost 30€ less than the hotel's web site. It was meant just for a short overnight stay between flights, so I did not look for anything special. The first impression when entering the lobby was positive, but the next one was already negative. My... More

We booked bed and breakfast. It was a clean business class hotel with helpful staff members. Very close to Anjos metro station. Nice decor throughout hotel, very comfortable beds and great rain shower. No real complaints. Only improvement I suggest is that they could do with a greater selection of food at breakfast.
