Really enjoyed our stay in the wonderful old building. A great welcome from Luis who gave us some tips on what to see in Lisbon. It's a romantic building and renovated to a great standard. Sweet little 'kitchen' which had all we needed to make a good breakfast and a snack when returning home. The view wasn't great - but... More

Having stayed in a suite at The Avenida Palace for two nights (couldn't afford more!), our next two nights were spent at The Mercador. I can not recommend this place too highly - beautifully appointed suites (I think there are only three or four of them) in an old palazzo a bit further out of the City centre than the... More

We need to thank Juan for all his help and attention to detail. We loved the hotel, the city and it all fit so well together. Definitely recommended if you are not a 4 or 5 star hotel type of person and looking for experiencing your casual, everyday life memories from a vacation and accommodation. We felt at home.

We arrived tired,at 12 pm.Juan, very polite, professional, was expected us and introduced us to the apartament, very spacious, recently renovated, clean. I was extremely pleased, everything was perfect:good location, right in the heart of Lisbon,a very big 16th century mansion.I'd like to stay here again.

Imagine a very big 15th century elegant mansion right in the heart of Lisbon. You park the car inside out of an extremely narrow typical street and then you climb up a magnificent staircase that will lead you right to one of the fewest bedrooms available. No, I should´t name them bedrooms as they are huge, and precious, and delicate,... More

We arrived tired and recovering from the flu so this could not have been more perfect. The suite was spacious and the tub was large enough for a nice soak. The wi-fi worked and the shutters on the windows were quaint, even in December we opened the windows in the morning and evening. Not having much of an appetite, the... More

Not strictly a hotel but wonderful none-the-less. The excellent service started before we even got to the former merchant's palace with spot on instructions as to its location. We were greeted on our arrival and given lots of information about Lisbon, with suggestions of places we might like to visit, depending on our interests. The studio, as its described, was capacious... More

Perfect location with perfect and efficient service. The guys are very helpful and professional. The apartment has always been very clean and the fridge stocked up to the brink. The rooms are well presented and the decoration makes you feel being in a 1st class colonial type of hotel The city center is just 10 min easy walk down the... More

This was the perfect location for our stay in Lisbon. One street back from the Avenida da Liberdade which made for a peaceful stay but close to all the restaurants and walking distance to all the sights. The service offered by this property is amazing. There is no reception but we were greeted by Juan who spent a great deal... More

We had a lovely stay in one of the studio rooms. Although there is no reception, the staff are extremely helpful, providing advice and booking assistance all the time. The room was beautifully decorated and kept clean everyday. Although we ate out most of the time, it was still helpful to have some basic food stuff stocked. The street itself... More
