The Equity point was the best hostel I've stayed in my life! They are very kind and gentle and they offer breakfast and sometimes dinner! They have some computer that we can use and we can print whatever we need! Thanks a million everyone!

I was due to stay here for 3 nights with some students as part of a study tour. I have stayed in hostels with students previously and always had an individual room which was ensuite. I turned up here to find an incredibly basic room with shared bathroom facilities. This could be an error on the part of the people... More

This hostel is definitely worth it. The rooms are wide with comfortable beds as well as a locker to preserve valuables. The common areas are also truly pleasant : the bathrooms provide nice italian showers, the kitchen is sophisticated while there is a tv room and a lobby with sofas, books to read. As for the breakfast which is included... More

I visited the hostel 2 days back and I must say the place is more value for money. To start with, the place is located very near to the main tourist places (Rossio, Restaurodores, Baixo, Bairo Alto, Alfama etc.) and has direct metro connectivity to Lisbon airport and railway station via Restaurodores station (4 min walking). The staff is very... More

A nice big place worth to go for his location quite near the main centre of the city and very close to the metro, for his helpful and very friendly staff always ready to help you and give all the information you need and for its cleaness.

I was only there for one night, but my impressions were good. The staff was very friendly and eager to help, security felt good, and although the room I stayed in had a lot of beds, it was definitely large enough for everyone's luggage, and it didn't feel crowded. The bathroom inside the room was quite small, but those in... More

The hostel was clean, tidy, and the people were very nice. They let us keep our suitcases there after the checkout time. Good breakfast and awesome price. Take a lock if you would like to use one of the compartments under the bed to store your belongings.

This hostel is located very near the city center (5-7 min walk) in generally a safe and nice area. I loved that there was always someone at the front desk to help you. Lots of amenities including free breakfast every morning and free printing. We also did a free walking tour that we signed up for at the hostel and... More

Warmest staff ever, big rooms, comfortable beds, heater, beautiful house, good WiFi, kitchen, free bread, tea and coffee, excellent included breakfast. The location is perfect, you can walk to great places from there and it is just a few minutes away from a metro station.

The staff there are helpful and nice, the room is clean and there are breakfast included, free tea, coffee, fruits and bread all the times, I love this hostel very much. If I have chance to visit Lisbon again, I'm sure will choose equity point.

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighborhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
