My wife and I stayed there for a 3 nights trip to Lisbon in Feb. The location is great, it's right in the heart of Lisbon city centre. The decor and cleaniness of the flat is great too with a very modern feel. The downsides are that the apartment stayed faced the main road and it is quite noisy. Also,... More

Very good location next Plaça do comercio with view on tramway tracks. Great autonomy. Apartment with all the modern comfort (dishwasher...). Clean. But some failures not fixed (tap broken, door broken..).

Loved the location to bits, a characterful but quiet street, just one block up from the riverfront, with trams running past. A very easy journey from the airport by metro, with just a five minute walk from Baixa Chiado. Relieved when the entry codes were sent a couple of days before hand, and when they worked to let us in.... More

A nice place, very centric and close to many interesting restaurants, sightseings and lost streets for a nice walk. The apartment was clean, everything new, and well provisioned. Access to Wi-fi and TV cable should be more obvious (sort of a mini-guide on the table or on the wall, close to the TV). Something easy to find If possible, TV... More

The location is great. The apartment is nice and clean. The virtual reception was helpful when we reported a problem with a broken shower. They allowed us to use another room. The next day, the shower was fixed but there was no hot water!!! The water heating system is very outdated. Lisbon is wonderful and we will come back, but... More

This one is well situated, just steps away from the trams or tuk tuks or Alfama. It was easy to get everywhere from this apartment, and it was quite spacious and modern. It even had a washer dryer, but the dryer crumpled the clothes to all heck, so I can't say I recommend using it. It had a coffee pot,... More

It is located at Rua de Arsenal, close to Praca de Comercio, and a few Metro stations within 1 km. Large space with living hall, kitchen and bedroom. Very unassuming entrance with no reception desk but courteous and responsive staff on the service phone. Gabrielle, a sweet helpful young lady, has been very pleasant help whenever she was sent to... You could not get a better location, right in the heart of Lisbon. Hotel was quirky and unusual - not bad, just a bit odd. Traveling with friends, we stayed in a three bedroom unit in the hotel. Rooms were full of mirrors and lights, very modern - futuristic even. Despite its quirks, the hotel was a great place to... More

The only good thing about the apartment is the location. Otherwise it is a big disappointment . We stayed for a week and we didn't have hot water for 6 days..We did complain , but we're told that these things are unpredictable. The front security lock didn't work the entire week. It was noisy. Utensils were sub standard and flimsy.... More

Great located apartment. Spacious. Very nice bedroom, with a lot of light and also nicely decorated. Confortable big bed. It is noisy though and the closest parking for your car is very expensive. All the basic commodities are included. The apartment rules are a big strict. 3,5/5

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
