We stayed at the Chiado for 3 nights. Our room was very comfortable (although perhaps a little smaller than we felt we'd paid for) and very clean. We left a tip every morning and found our room had been made up when we got back from breakfast. The view from our private terrace directly over the city and castle and... more

This hotel is a joke. The interior, which was probably only decorated a few years ago is already shop worn. I had a horrible experience with internet service. When my computer was put into "sleep mode," somehow, their dial up service did not disconnect, and continued to charge my room on a per minute basis. The charges they put against... more

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for three nights. It is in a great location, easy to get everywhere but is so quiet at night you think you are away from it all. We booked a premium room which for the view is worth it - although the bar terrace also has a super view. The bar prices... more

The location of this hotel is perfect -with easy access to all major sights. Very quiet and the room was clean and of a quality you would expect in a 4 star hotel. The view from our room was amazing with french doors and a small balcony overlooking the roofs of Lisbon and the water. The hotel roof bar is... more

The location of the hotel was great, and we had a premium room with a view. However there were a number of problems with this hotel. It is June, and the temperature outside is around 30 degrees, we were first put into one room that had no air con (broken). When we swapped for another, the aircon only blew out... more

I went to Estoril to learn Golf (Great Program with www.estorilgolf.com!), on the weekend I wanted to make some cultural visits and enjoy the night life and the famous bars and restaurants of Bairro Alto. Daniel Grimm, the golf pro, suggested the Lisbon Regency Chiado and this was an amazing experience! Only by the location, in the middle of Lisbon,... more

Stayed here for a three night break. Hotel small and very centrally located. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was ok, I have had nicer, but saying that it had the usual juices, cereals, cheeses, bread etc. ,not much in the fry-up section. Hotel staff were very friendly and the location was great. They recommended restaurants for us which... more

We opted to take a short 3 day, 2 night trip to Lisbon. Found this quaint hotel in a travel book and I'm so glad I did. Most of the big hotels aren't in the center of things in Lisbon, probably because they don't have any huge hotels messing up the landscape near the river and most of the tourist... more

Stayed 3 nights at the Regency Chiado. The location of the hotel is excellent and the views from the rooms are great. I stayed in room 614 and while it didn't have a terrace (just a small balcony) it had a great view of the castle and cathederal. The room and bathroom were a good size a and very clean.... more

Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Regency. Despite some negative comments our stay was hugely enjoyable. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the location is superb - within walking distance of the nightlife of Barrio Alto and the shops and restaurants of the old town. We were concerned about comments that some of the food at breakfast... more
