We had a one night stay here - whilst enjoying a two week holiday in the Algarve - booked a room via laterooms.com. The hotel itself was good - although I'm not sure it can quite be described as one of the great hotels of the world - despite the many illuminaries who have stayed there - which according to... more

Location is semicentral..on one hill 10 minutes far from the main attractions... The room decor is a bit outdated on the 1980 side but ok.. Marble bathroom with MBrown amenities and nice slippers and bathrobe. Elegant underground SPA with wonderful design touches.. Selfservice VIP room with limited supply of drinks but wonderful view...Disappointing point. Staff not extremely kind. more

The room on the VIP floor was meeting all requirements, was spacy and well maintained. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is acceptable for sightseeing (about 25 to 30 minutes walking distance to the historic city centre or maybe 10 minutes by taxi; all destinations for my business meetings could be reached easily. Compared... more

The hotel is really quite excellent, but the guest needs to understand that the location is not perfect. It is just a matter of scheduling more time to get to attractions, meeting, etc. The shopping center across the street was interesting and had some great restaurants. Be aware, the breakfast, while excellent, is on the expensive side. The rooms were... more

The location might not be an ideal if you want to be in the heart of the city but I didn't feel any inconvenience, taxis are cheap! You can either ask at the front desk or go to a taxi stand by Complexo Amoreiras, a shopping mall, which is only a minute (can be less) walk from the hotel. Also... more

The hotel is not very central, a taxi (cheap) is needed to get to all the sights, otherwise its a 30 minute walk into town. The hotel is not smokey anymore - there is an enclosed smoking room in the lobby. We arrived at about 5pm and our room was not ready till after 6pm which is not very impressive.... more

I would not recommend for two reasons. 1) Poor attitude of the front desk the bar staff. We felt like we were imposing when we asked to have our air conditioning checked and when we went for lunch and a drink at 3:00 pm (yes they were open for business!) 2) The temperature in our room was between 72 &... more

We stayed three nights in this great hotel in the end of january, situated near Parque Eduardo. We stayed in a tower-room on the 18th floor. Great view! The service both in reception, bar and breakfast-restaurant was superb. Very impressing breakfast-buffet. The spa-treatment can be highly recommended but expensive. As guests in a tower-room, we also had access to the... more

The Dom Pedro was a very nice hotel, and very reasonably priced. The assistant manager escorted me to the room, telling me about the hotel's pool and spa, and other amenities. The room was large, and well dressed in red, gold and black. It included a comfortable king-sized bed, seating area with table and chairs, marble lined bathroom with separate... more

Visited Lisbon for the first time for new year. Got a good deal with flights from Expedia. Would have been sorry to have paid rack rate for the Dom Pedro. Pluses Good sized room, Good bathroom with plenty of surface around the basin. Efficient lifts Some pleasant staff Opposite Amoreiras shopping centre Not smokey as one reviewer experienced Poor thermostat,... more
