We stayed in a small, nice, clean hotel. But we were amazed at the service we got from Miguel, who helped us at reception. On arriving the taxi driver made us pay far more than the taximeter said. We had been warned by the time we left. Miguel helped us get rid off another nasty driver when we left 6... More

Not too many hotels have personnel as helpful & as personable as Principe Real. It was a real treat to find people as nice as the ones working at this great hotel! Will come back soon & tell our friends about it.

I stayed recently..I was doing a master class at the motelx film festival and was put in this hotel. It was a fantastic experience. lovely location just up from the Main Street and a minute from barrio alto shopping district The room was spacious ,the ac and heat worked perfectly, even though I had read that the wifi was problematic ,It... We stayed 2 nights in August. The hotel is down a quiet street midway up the hill to Bairro Alto, 10 mins walk to restaurants and bars of Bairro Alto so close enough but with no disturbance. This is a great little hotel (18 rooms). The staff were friendly and helpful without exception. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious... More

This hotel was really nice. Rooms were clean, shower was hot, mini fridge was stocked, fully working air con. Standards of the restaurant were very good generally. Breakfast is included in the price and it is worth it. Its basically a buffet on a menu i.e you pick whatever you want and however much of it! The staff are very... More

Lovely hotel, made even better by an unexpected upgrade which was particularly welcome as we arrive at 1.30am thanks to yet another grim experience with Ryanair. The hotel has a fantastic location at the bottom of Barrio Alto with its mix of tiny winding streets, cafes, restaurants and cocktail bars. Lovely area, although you'll probably get sick of being offered... More

We were lucky to be allocated one of the rooms at the top of the building which was vast - in fact it was more like a suite, with a roof terrace. Arriving after midnight due to a 3 hour flight delay, this was most welcome. The hotel is in a great location - near Principe Real square and the... More

The stay was comfortable and pleasant, however, having stayed in this hotel on a previous occasion, I decided to stay in one of the two suites on the top floor. The size of the suite is enormous, the view SPECTACULAR, the bathrooms huge and clearly recently remodeled, however, the rest of the suite is very outdated. The furnishings are old... More

Dear Mr. Krzysztofik, Thank you so much for your review and we're sorry your Lisbon experience didn't go so well. The city's 7 hills with its ups and downs can get you tired but I assure you that doesn't keep older couples from all over to visit the City and stay as our guests. About the candid camera episode, sorry... More
