Stayed for a long weekend in Lisbon at this excellent hotel. Just north of the hustle and bustle of central Lisbon this art deco gem provided understated luxury. The manager was very helpful as there was a Metro strike on the day of our arrival and she did her best to secure us a taxi. The second floor rooms were... More

Britania is a gem of a boutique hotel. We stumbled in after almost 30 hours of travel across the world, to be welcomed by the aforementioned female receptionist/concierge who was fantastic (friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable). The rooms are nice without being over the top but the standout features of the hotel for us were the staff, lovely breakfasts (and delightful... More

We stayed for 2 nights and on our arrival were made to feel very welcome by the lovely female receptionist who was so lovely & friendly- should have noted her name but forgot as she is a star and gave us v useful advice about places to eat/drink, as did the other staff when we asked for their advice. The... More

What is easier then booking a hotel you already have been in once before? For our second stay in Lisbon we decided to go back to this heritage hotel in the middle of Lisbon. It is located just next to Liberdade, the main shopping street in Lisbon (between LV and Armani) It was a positive surprise that most of the... More

Britania is located one block off of the Av de la Libertad (the main drag). The location is terrific - quiet with easy access to the Metro and the downtown. Small and personal, the decor is art deco. Our room was large and comfortable with an adjacent sitting room. The staff was very friendly.

My mom and I stayed at Britania Hotel over my birthday. Lovely boutique hotel with character. Spacious, comfortable, clean rooms. The hotel is right off the main road (Avenida da Liberdade); so it's quiet but close to all of the action. Full breakfast is included, and there's a small afternoon tea. The staff is wonderful--Jefferson is the best! I highly... More

This hotel lives up to it's 4 star rating. The hotel is lovely and in a convenient location for moving around Lisbon. The entire hotel was spotless, service was exceptional and the staff extremely courteous. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast each morning. It was very fresh with something for everyone's tastes. We would absolutely stay here again.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel situated in a quiet street within minutes of the metro and buses and within easy walking distance of restaurants, historic areas and squares. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed and most importantly quiet, including the quietest air-conditioning. Excellent breakfasts and a well-stocked bar are complemented by free tea in the afternoon and... More

Good location, charming staff, great room, well-preserved architecture and a good night's sleep. Not cheap but really worth it. A lovely hotel. The only problem was the rain which stopped us sitting on the balcony outside our room. Maybe next time

We travel a lot internationally and cannot remember such pleasant reception in recent years. Our room was not ready on arrival, but our luggage was stored and then brought to our room by the time we returned after sightseeing. Our attractive 6th floor room was very Art Deco, very bright with quite a large balcony. The marble bathroom was sumptuous.... More
