Conveniently situated near a metro stop, Lisbon's main Avenue Liberdade and within walking distance of a lot of the sights, the Britania is an excellent hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable and exceptionally clean. The staff at this hotel are wonderful- from the reception staff to the concierge, the housekeepers and the breakfast room staff. The breakfast is nice... More

I went to the Britânia Hotel four years ago and gave it a top rating then. I have just got back from another visit, and if I could, I would give it six stars. Great location, fabulous design and decor, spotless, great breakfast, tea served every afternoon and above all, staff that really make the difference. Our thoughts when we... More

Just home from a four night stay at this amazing relaxing calm hotel. From the minute we arrived everything was just perfect. On arrival at 11am we were offered a complimentary breakfast which was nice. The room 33 was very well laid out, very little noise from the street. The breakfast every morning was everything you needed to keep you going... More

I just loved this hotel. My first trip to Lisbon (and Portugal) and although the weather was not so good, coming back to this welcoming, friendly hotel was just wonderful. As a solo traveller, I had a double bed with huge room and bathroom, not the shoe boxes normally reserved for one on their own! Everyone who stays here writes... More

Easy to find and with access to metro just steps away this was a fantastic hotel. It was our first time in Portugal let alone Lisbon, and we will be back. The Superior room was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The maid service was one of the most thorough and professional cleaning services I have ever experienced in a hotel,... More

Portugal is a magical and beautiful country and lissabon is a beautiful city. But the city doesnt have so many hotels that one could count as five star the britania hotel breaks the trend and gives the city a nice five star quality hotel.

From the moment we entered this beautiful, small art deco hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. The staff are exceptional, from Raquel at the front desk to Jefferson at the bar. The rooms and public areas are beautifully decorated, refecting the early 1940's and transport one back in time. The breakfast buffet is exceptional and afternoon tea... More

Lovely decor. Big rooms. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast (which is a steal) What else could you want! In addition you get scrumptious croissants and free afternoon, tea, port and pastries. I would not stay anywhere else.
