We're just back from a three night stay at The Britania, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Everything was excellent, all the staff we met were genuinely warm and friendly, the rooms were a great size, well furnished and spotlessly clean, the breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold food and the building itself is very lovely. Excellent location about a 10min walk to main square in a nice part of town. Fabulous service, clean and well presented rooms, spacious, great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those wanting all the benefits of a top tier upmarket hotel and not to pay excessive rates.

Beautifully maintained Art Deco hotel just off Lisbon's Avenida. Service--including breakfast, desk, and housekeeping--were superb. Delicious, fresh, and wide-ranging breakfast. Location convenient to subways and walking to tourist-friendly areas of the city.

Stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful heritage hotel that is impeccably maintained. Everything works and the period feel and quirkiness of this art deco hotel were a huge bonus. The hotel really feels cozy not cold and impersonal. The staff is great. They gave wonderful advice for touring the city and for great dining... The room was spacious and... More

Hotel is well located but on a quiet street just off the busier area. Our room was enormous! Beautifully furnished and with very nice toiletries, always the sign of a thoughtful hotel in my opinion. Breakfast was delicious, as were the complimentary pastries and tea in the afternoon. Staff were delightful, could not be more helpful and friendly. All in... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is well located in a quiet area but we could walk into the centre within 10 minutes. The room was nice and large. The best part was the staff. They did everything they could to make our stay memorable. They were knowledgable, helpful and very interested to hear about our adventures in... More

Was expecting great things from this hotel and wasn't let down. decoration and cleanliness were excellent and staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in a terrace room, very quiet and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was nice and tea/coffee offered free of charge in the afternoon.
