Location is very nice away from the bustle of downtown and surrounding residential area which is not worth seeing on foot. Super views of the bay from the terrace. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms, furnished with attention to detail. Building has some limitations but so do most hotel buildings. Service by staff warm in their shirts more than makes well... This hotel is overall very nice, but has its drawbacks which need to be taken into account. Good points: - very comfortable rooms and beds, very quiet so you get a good night's sleep; - nice swimming pool, clean with plenty of space and secluded despite it being in the hotel garden; - basic rooms are fairly spacious, around 25-30... We stayed at Lapa Palace for four nights in a very comfortable room in the main building. The location is in the quieter Embassy section of Lisbon. We selected this hotel over another option more in the centre of Lisbon because we like the idea of having a pool during our July visit. We could not have made a better... More

We used to stay at the Lapa Palace many years ago and we used to stay in the more expensive rooms in the main building. Then we tried a few cheaper hotels in Lisbon but we enjoyed but were not the same as staying here. This time we stayed in the cheaper rooms in the main building - we paid... More

From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by the ' old school ' doormen we knew immediately we were in for an unforgettable stay. Both our rooms , or shall I say junior suites , were located in the villa wing and featured all the palatial luxuries one can desire. Excellent breakfast served on a lovely patio , elegant... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Lapa Palace for two days and two nights. What a WOW factor as you walk in to the beautifully decorated lobby and are greeted by such warm doormen and reception staff. This is a 5 star resort with a gorgeous pool setting with outstanding service. We had lunch out by the pool... More

We spent two nights here before flying home from Lisbon. First the good part. They put us in a large corner room in the Palace wing with a fantastic view of the Targus River and luxuriant bedding and furnishings. The hotel is located in a high end residential area near embassies and palaces. However, it is a cab ride into... More

This hotel offers the best of both worlds-A resort within walking distance to the city. It is located about ten minutes from the city, so you can walk or take a taxi. The hotel is beautiful with a lovely pool and spa. The staff is exceptionally helpful and courteous. Our concierge gave us very good, helpful information about restaurants and... More

Stayed here for a 30th birthday. The main building looks beautiful, the newer extensions are not quite so attractive. The room was a decent size and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok. Location is a little out of the way. Overall it was a good hotel but nothing more.

This is a grand hotel with some very nice features, but it's on top of a very steep hill right in the middle of a housing estate and as a result there's limited places you can go on foot and I'm a good walker. On plus side this hotel has good facilities, heated indoor & outdoor pool, gym, sauna etc.... More
