The hotel is in a really centered position, next to tram, bus and metro stop aswell. The room was not really big, but it was nice to stay there. The sleep quality was sufficient. They serve super nice breakfasts. The staff is lovely. The price is a bit higher then it should be, in my opinion. If you're looking for... More

I was fortunate enough to have found this gem of a small, family-run hotel in the heart of Lisbon for me 4-day sty in Portugal in April, 2015. It is right on Rossio Square, with an excellent restaurant on the ground floor. It is old (I found that to be part of its charm!), and the furniture needs updating, but... More

Everything is walking distance! As the hotel is in the center of the city, the room is not very spacious(though you have lot of space to store your clothes & goods), however it worth as there is no need to think how to go from/ come back to the hotel wherever you plan the visit. Where else is necessary? With... More

This hotel is in need of some serious updates. Was old, filthy, and discomforting. Was in our room for 10 minutes before we decided to book a different hotel. The pictures on their website are misleading and the view of the square does not make the stay worth it.

The Metropole is an older hotel which needs a bit of attention. It is so well situated for the tourist being so close to all public transport and various tourist attractions. Staff are so informative, helpful and friendly. Breakfasts are as one would expect with a selection of breads, juices, cereals, eggs, bacon and a selection of cold meats and cheese. In... More

Great location, decent rate, staff friendly - but the carpets were filthy - the mattresses ancient and falling apart - and the bedding worn and old. Our hallway smelled of curry and smoke. They really need to update this place.

Pros, Great location, near everything South Beach has to offer, really lovely staff, cant do enough for you, clean rooms done everyday. We stayed at the Hotel Metropole for a little over a week. In that time, we were always treated with such amazing deference and respect by the entire staff. Additionally, they gave so much helpful advice and tips on everything we were interested in doing. Anything we wanted to do, they made all the arrangements and were so happy to... More
