Despite being a local, I had never heard of this beautiful place. It is really hidden in a narrow alley of the old district of Alfama. You go through the discreet door and you are awed at the marvelous restoration of this amazing (6 rooms only) "palacete" (small palace). We stayed at suite Lucia and our friends at suite Paula,... For the travel weary, who have gone the world over staying at the Omnis, Hiltons, sheratons, ritz..banyon tree..maranuchi and other large or renowned hotels...there comes that point when we have to conclude that the right atmosphere, service, food and accoutrements either enhance and make a trip magical or can frankly cast a shadow if not ruin a stay. Even if... More

The Palacete is a really special place. It has been lovingly restored with excellent taste adding contemporary comforts to its luxurious interior. With only six rooms it offers really special service from the friendly welcome to the excellent breakfast. Maria and Paolo were both lovely. We visited off season and they gave us a room upgrade making this one of... More

Stayed in January for 3 nights at this simply perfect little hotel and were treated like (or perhaps better than!) royalty. The property itself is immmaculate and elegantly decorated in a period style (built 1903) and impossible to fault. Our stay got off to a splendid start when the hotel contacted us before we left home and offered us a... More

we went there on a Sunday for brunch and we got so much more than expected. First, I was never welcomed and treated as nicely as from the people working there, every single one of them was just so genuinely nice and made us feel like friends even tough we just met for the first time. Second, the building from... More

I stayed only one night but the room was incredible, with multiple spaces and it's own rooftop with one of the best views over the Lisbon. Breakfast was superb and the staff incredibly friendly. Luxurious without being overly pretentious, really great option.

We stayed here for two nights after spending a few days in Bairo Alto, because we wanted to get the feel for a different part of the city. We chose the romantic suite and were absolutely charmed the moment we walked in. This place is decorated with the utmost attention to detail, and every thing from the furniture, to the... More

My wife and I chose this hotel because it received outstanding reviews on tripadvisor. Staff at the hotel all were excellent and friendly and were very knowledgeable of the sights and restaurants in he area. "Maria" gave us the history of the building and how the palace had been restored and brought up to date. We stayed in the Sonya... More

I was at this beautiful hotel only for Sunday brunch and it is completely worth the experience just to be able to peek inside. It is very well kept and the atmosphere is serene. The brunch is very inexpensive comparing with other locations in Lisbon and all the products and dishes are great. I will definitely recommend it to anyone... More
