Very good hotel, restaurant and spa. Good service. Nice place to be with view on the river andt the boats. Short walk to the Belem Tower, the San Jeronimo Church and the Belem pastry where you can eat the famous delicious natas.

Stayed here in 2010 and had a great time, so returning I had high expectations. I wasn't disappointed, from a warm and friendly welcome from Joao Gerreiro on reception to a smooth check out, our trip was faultless. The inclusive breakfast had something for everyone and was served by very attentive staff. Our room was large and comfortable! Belem is... More

Overall had a great experience at the Altis Belem. The hotel is stylish and exudes a muted cool chic. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and the beds extremely comfy. The staff is fantastic, pleasant and always willing to help out. Breakfast Buffet was plentiful and tasty. One other hit was the spa and indoor pool, luxurious and relaxing. There... More

We stayed here for several days over the New Year and it was a nice spot. We enjoyed the fact that it was near a lot of sites and monuments, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our room had a great view of the river, harbour and other sites. We chose this place for the good... More

Thank you for sharing with us, your experience! Regarding the free coffee in the room, we have a Nespresso coffee machine with several flavours capsules for free for all the guests, but unfortunately you missed it. Also for the free shuttle service, it does not go direct to the airport, because it stops by the city centre for the clients... More

This hotel offers a great experience. Location is very good, guaranteeing a peaceful and quiet ambiance. The family room (2 rooms connected) was the perfect choice and the kids loved it!! Breakfast is very nice, although not a 5 stars luxe proposal. The view over the river and the outside terrace in the room are the cherry on the top... More

An excellent and extremely comfortable hotel with very helpful and kind staff. The theme is understated luxury in a very agreeable designer setting. The spa, fitness center, sauna, hamam and swimming pool are very comfortable and well appointed. The bar and restaurant are excellent with fine wines, spirits and food. The staff are well trained and attentive without being too... More

Staying in Belem

Neighborhood Profile
Belem
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
