We stayed here for 3 nights and were upgrade on arrival. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has its own coffee shop in reception and is very close to the metro. You are within walking distance to central Lisbon as well as the bus stops. This hotel is very modern and clean. We loved staying here and... More

This hotel had great location, right next to a metro station. The look of our room was very nice and it held an docked iMac and iPad. However the shower wasn't very functional because while using it the water poured straight on the floor of the room. Toilet was small and the sink was in the room instead of having... More

This hotel has many assets: pleasant staff, central location, rooms with nice design ( especially the premium ones) , the restaurant inside the hotel ( cheap and good food: hamburgers, salads...), nespresso coffee available and very good point too: a kitchen and everything needed to have in-room meals...

Excellent location, 200 m from the Metro station and many good restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood plus lots of shopping, everything in walking distance. Good breakfast buffet in the restaurant.

This has got to be the most annoying hotel room I have ever stayed in. Huge TV - can't get it to work... all instructions in Portuguese; rang reception but no one there could help; iPad, stuck to desk and internet connection pathetic; huge Apple desk top, ditto, MP3 player, dead. Nothing works! The shower doesn't drain so nearly flooded... More

The room was beautiful, redone, with a lot of thought put into making it perfect. Loved our stay in the room. The breakfast was worth the money and perfectly done with the best pastries. I would return if only for the breakfast, however the rooms were very comfortable. The location is great and easy to walk around the city. A... More

The location was very convenient near to most of the sightseeing, metro station, bus, tram. The room was very good, roomy with very comfortable bed with ...roof! The design of the apartment was terrific and it was equipped with pick-up and an Apple PC! There was only a small problem at our room as there was only one mirror at... More

Overall the hotel is one of quality suitable for the business executive, solo travelers or families. Its location provides proximity to Metro, taxis, tuk tuk and great walks around the tourist sights.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
